OK, I'm on the part where you have to fight Kefka and his army in Narshe and it says to "form 3 groups".

The problem is, everytime I do form three groups, and try to advance, it makes a buzzing noise and says to form three groups.

Do you have to arrange the groups a certain way on the screen, or put certain members in certain groups? This is really making me mad, and any help would be appreciated (except from a walk-thru because none of them specify how to arrange the groups =/ )

Talk to the party members and form the groups in the three windows at the bottom, any combination is fine. When you are ready to go, talk to Banon and tell him so.

Thanks, but it's still not working. I keep getting the same error.

Wait, here's how I put it:

Ed/Celes
Locke Cyan/Gau
Terra/SAbin

Three full groups mabye. I forget.

That's not it. You don't even have enough members to form three full groups at that point.

It is odd though. If I had a copy saved at that point I would check to see if I could recreate the same error but I don't have any save anywhere close right now.

Could you list every step your taking, including what buttons you're pushing?

Also, are you playing the SNES version, the Playstation version, or are you using an emulator?

You need to put everyone in the three little boxes at the bottom of the screen.

I had trouble with this when I first played the game. As everybody has said, put people into the three boxes at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks, you guys, but I already figured it out after about another 20 minutes. You see, what you have to do is put the characters in the third row on the blue screen and they'll automatically pair up. If you want three or four characters in a party, then put the characters in the bottom row (the fourth row, to be precise).

I had trouble with that as well. Instead of keeping the default blue screen, I switched to the dark green screen, where the boxes can't be seen.

Yeah I had it on the dark screen as well, so I just decided to switch the window color and saw where I went wrong.
