Im trying to complete FF7 again and am stuck on what is probably my least favourate boss ever the one in the temple of the ancents when you try and leave.
Could anyone help me? and what level would be a good level to be on and how much life would you need to fight him?

Use Bahamut, and then just hack-away at him with you strongest attacks. Limit Breaks are pretty useful as well.

if you mean that big monster that is attached to the wall called demon gate have cloud use meteorain (his first level 3 limits break.) to do about 4000 5000 damage(he has 10000 health.) which you should know by now.have aeris use bahamut to take 1000 odd health off him each turn and have your other character whoever that is use his/her limits.(tifas is probbably the most effective at that point of the game.)

I would recommend leveling to AT LEAST lvl. 35 or about 1300hp on at least 2 party members for a moderate battle...just go all out with your best attacks, and don't try to cure yourself too much.

Great Gospel in the beginning of the battle doesn't hurt either....

ok you are m,aking the mistake in all assuming that this person has evrything you could ever attain up to this point...firslty what levels are your characters and what limit breaks/summons do you have....also what are you chars HP and do you have any HP Plus materia...what waepons have you got?

as before i would advise to train to lvl 35 roughly...do this in the room you fought the red dragon....you can also use this time to achieve more limit breaks...aeris has a good limti break called fury barnd which sets everyone to limit status...once you've achieve that..there no way you shoud lose....pummel it with limits bahamut, odin and attacks...it shouldnt last too long....

sit your ppl on the back row and they shoudl take less damage from his rush attack....

Im currently level 33 and my chars HP's are:

Cloud:2400 (with hp plus)
Aeris:1600 (without hp plus)
Barret:1900 (without hp plus)

Thats about it, and i only have one hp plus and cloud has his last level 2 limit so does barret and Aeris is on her first second level limit. And i have all the summons so far.

Well, you shouldn't have any problems then, if you do the right things. Dont bother with magic, it barely works. So put yer magics on the person who's weakest, Aeris, and put her in the back row. Put the two others in the front and pummel the beast. Remember to use Bahamut and probably another powerful spell or two, since Bahamut can only be cast once. And seeing how Aeris only can use Breath of the earth as limit, in your case, it might be better to switch back to level 1 for this battle, since Breath of the earth is useless and Healing Wind never hurts. ;) Good luck. :)

Why don't you also try leveling up a bit in that place right after the #6 colck puzzle exit, right before you run after Sephiroth, where there's the Ancient who heals you? Free healing makes it always worth a little training.

Yeh, fighting Hecteyes (the globs of jelly with eyes everywhere, sometimes called 8-Eyes) yields a lot of EXP. You should have Aeris' Ultimate Weapon already, Princess Guard, in one of the Clock Rooms.... dont remember which one, but I think IV.....

Great Gospel is Aeris' Ultimate Limit Break by the way bbomber.

if you train up and use breath off the earth another 8 times you'll learn fury brand...and then she wont be so useless

i remember having a lot of touble with that boss, and also the carry armor. but have one guy focus on phsyical attacks, one on magic attacks, and one to heal, and he should fall pretty quickley.
