According to preview sites, the game will feature Vincent Valentine, one of the original characters from Final Fantasy VII in the lead role. This game is to take place three years after the events of Final Fantasy VII and one year following the events of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Vincent was invited by Reeve to visit a "revival celebration" of Kalm. There he became a witness to the Deep Ground Soldiers attacking the city. Vincent soon learned that his's love, Lucrecia, is with the Deep Ground Soldiers. It was revealed by Reeve, via Cait Sith, that he founded the World Regeneration Organization (WGO) since the collapse of Shinra to help restore their world. The Deep Ground Soldiers were a Secret underground project that Shinra was developing even during the time of Final Fantasy VII, but it was kept secret. Shinra who created the DGS, also wish to revive the sixth and final Weapon, Omega. It is also said to involve the Turks, who also play a major role in Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII.
The whole article can be found here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirge_of_Cerberus:_Final_Fantasy_VII). After reading this, am somewhat confused. Isn't Lucrecia supposed to be dead?

I hope she is.
Lucrecia revived = Aeris revived, in my opinion.

'Cept Aeris wasn't injected with Jenova cells.

We already saw in FFVII that Lucrecia isn't exactly mortal.
My name is...something..?

I'm more interested in the bit of information about Omega Weapon.
The Lucrecia bit didn't phase me at all.

I do like that they're retroactively placing Omega Weapon in the world of FFVII.

True. But I'd like tha game to be revolving about something else, really.

As I understood it in FFVII, she died/dissapeared/faded whatewer after the scene at Vincents waterfall, but then, I might be mistaken. Anyways, Im looking forward to the game the more I know about it.

Yes, she's never clearly stated to be dead. But she clearly says she wanted to die, and she couldn't because Jenova cells wouldn't let her. For once, tough, I'd like the "You haven't seen the beheaded corpse? Then it's not dead" cliché being superated. It has been overused...or at least I feel so...

Wow. By the looks of it, this game is gonna be deep. Too bad I don't have a PS2 to play it. Oh well............

For once, tough, I'd like the "You haven't seen the beheaded corpse? Then it's not dead" cliché being superated....Jenova ain't got no head. Yet it ain't dead. *shudders*
Huzzah! Omega's gonna kick my ass! Huzzah! Vincent's only love is back.
Vincent ain't the heroic type. He fought alongside Cloud and crew for vengeance and atonement. He probably had similar reasons for fighting during the events of AC. Most likely, without the mention of Lucrecia, he would not have gotten involved with fighting the DGS.

Right.. Didn't we already play a FF sequel where someone's love interest "died", only to return?
