Are you addicted to caffeine?

I sure am. I can't get enough of the stuff as it's a daily part of my life. I have three 24's of Red Bull Sugar Free downstairs in my mini fridge. Every morning I have that, with a 200mg caffeine pill cut and mixed into it. That's all I drink for the day, and it gives me the buzz I need. I find I can concentrate a lot more, plus I just feel more awake and alive. I read an awesome National Geographic article on caffeine.. you should check it out. I'll probably scan it and post it on here later.

So what about you? Are you caught on to this energy drink fad?

Physical addiction to caffeine is bad news. I've cut myself down to 1 or 2 diet cokes a day.

I know it....but i can't help it sometimes! Lol. I've been driking water mainly and it's helping. Caffiene is like a beer to me.
drink to much, i become too hyper and too flirty, not really paying attention to a lot of things.
it makes you kinda fidgety too.

That's all I drink for the day, and it gives me the buzz I need. I hope that means that's all the caffeine you drink for the day, and not that's all of everything you drink for the day.

Addiction is bad ^^ My boy used to be so addicted to caffeine, and he just quit it a month or two ago because I told him it was bad.... (haha, score for people actually listening to me o_o) It was hard at first but he made it and he's not addicted anymore... xD he quit cold turkey.

Caffeine doesn't even affect me though. I just think frappuchinos and ice creamy cappuchinos and such are the yummiest things... :love:

Too much caffiene is really bad for you. I believe it's something like an 8oz. cup of coffee (I'm probably wrong about that though, as I found this out months ago and really didn't pay attention to the amount since I drink no caffiene) has all the caffiene you should have in a day and you should only drink it in the early morning since drinking it later in the day will disrupt sleep patterns, probably leading to more caffiene intake after awhile since you'll feel drained all the time. One cup of coffee a day is supposed to actually be good for you, more than that and you can flush all it's benefits down the toilet. I may not drink caffiene myself, but I know an accounting office full of people who are addicted, and what do you expect when the employees get it for free.

That's nice tips. I know it's bad for me and all, but i still drink it. i don't really think kids should drink it at thier age but...i'm 14...^^ You know, cause they're young.
Trust me, when i was BADLY on it, i would NEVER sleep. I always drunk it and now, i don't drink as much.

I took three red bulls before I played a football/soccer match for my school team (and I had two earlier that day). The next morning I had trouble getting up, so I took another one. I went into school and an hour later, everything started to go all slow and I couldn't concentrate on anything my teacher was saying. Then he asked me a question and I just mumbled something as I did not know what the hell was going on around me. It ended up I had to go to hospital, where after doing tests, they told me not to drink that amount of Red Bull ever again.

Lesson: Never drink five Red Bulls in a day and another one the following morning. :(

A good nights sleep will actually help you retain the information better, probably moreso than drinking coffee to stay up an extra hour or two. Or maybe you just needed it to keep the subject from putting you to sleep. God knows I've almost passed out studying for various exams before. Economics is better than a sleeping pill.

I don't like drinking caffeine too much because jsut drinking one mug full of Cola at 4PM keeps me up until 4AM but I drink it sparingly whilst studying because apparently it helps to improve your memory and it does a bit.

I'm caffenine addicted, I have been sense as long as I can remember, seriously, I get to much caffeine in me then I should, drink maybe 2 or 3 things eac day, not always, as sometimes we run out and then I'm like the guy in the comic posted above.

I don't drink a huge load of caffeine unless it's something special going on. Caffeine never makes me hyper, but drinking it about an hour or two before bed keeps me from getting to sleep.

My preference is either Mountain Dew or, if I can get it, BAWLS.

Tea and coffee = amazing. I can't say I'm addicted to caffeine, though, as I usually only have tea during the winter and I usually find myself drinking decaf as opposed to caffeinated tea.

Its really quite ironic that illegal drugs are viciously hunted down, dealers despised, illegal drug takers treated like scum...

while most "Law abiding" citizens are addicted to a legal drug at least as, and probably more dangerous then them. Be it Alcohol, Nicotine, caffene, painkillers, traquilizers, sedatives, anitbiotics, even cough medicine...just think of all those 8 year old druggies gouring on them chocolate bars...
