Thats your favorite song in the world!

My god what a terrible song. It's got a slow boring melody, thats pretty much a drum beat and a few other percussion sounds thrown in, in an attept to mix things up abit. Then we have the same lyric repeated over and over again for 5 minutes and to really break things up, Grace decides to have a little talk in the middle of it.

I can't say i'd listened to anything by Grace Jones until I listened to that, and I don't plan on listening to anything else by her. Ever!

But hey if you like it thats all that matters. Not for me though.

Definately not my kind of tune. Nothing interesting going on vocally and the backing music hasn't aged well.

Sorry, Chris. She has a good voice and all, but it's just not my thing. :(

I'm gonna have to go with everybody else. Thanks to you, I've actually listened to a few Grace Jones songs to sort of find out what exactly it is that you've been talking about, and it's just not cup of tea, to say the least. The style is just nothing like I would ever consider listening to.

EDIT: Don't feel bad in any way, though. I'm sure people probably can feel much worse about the music I listen to - many people consider John Denver to be a "country" artist, and that's practically a swear word around these parts.

Good voice, but the accompanying music is lacking.

Thanks guys for your feedback.
This just goes to prove how different we are when it comes to music, and that definitely a good thing. Thanks again. :)

Chris, I am sorry - I can't even say she has a good voice. I just really don't like it, it's just not my thing.

One Word

Interesting

Not really my thing, though I kinda like the beat/music. Haven't heard too much like it.

a Disclaimer- I am not the guru of music.. I myself have weird tastes.. or so I have been told.

This next song is her strongest vocally, so listen, and you might change your opinion. :)

Stupidly long intros are for metal and prog rock only plzkthx. This song isn't as God awfully bad, but why did she feel the need to have the intro play for like two minutes? Once again, not my thing at all. Like The Cure crossed with Bob Marley, but really bad. And we all know The Cure and Bob Marley rock.

Sorry man, but the best term I could think of to describe this kind of music is "self indulgent wankery". Still, like others said, what's important is that you like it, so more power to you and such.

zomg, I never heard of Grace Jones, but I remember hearing La Vie En Rose some time ago. It was kinda boring for my taste, but then again, the stuff I'm into might sound boring to you (or at least scary and hidious :D).
