Headaches suck. Do you get them often? I have a REALLY bad headache right now, I've had one all day. What do you do when you have one? I feel like I depend a bit too much on medicine when I'm sick, so I'm trying to just get over headaches with out Motrin or whatever, so what do you do besides take medicine?

I drink a crap load of water, and it usually subsides. I get a ridiculous amount of headaches and 'head-rushes' if I don't drink enough water.

I get headaches quite often. I have one today. :(

I either take some asprin or sleep. Or if I'm on the computer, I take a break. :)

I get them on occasion. They are never really bad, just enough to be annoying. Usually an asprin takes care of it right away.

I get them a lot, xD When I'm stressed out or when I've just been on the computer too much or just...a lot. I take tablets but sometimes I give up and just sleep when it's really bad.

I rarely get any kind of headache but if I do it depends on how bad it is. If it's real bad I'll take a pill.

I get migrane headaches that make me bedridden for several days, it's a medical problem that occurs when I am exposed to the sun for extended periods of time, my skin also hurts.

The worst kind are the kind behind your eyes!

I rarely get headaches. Small ones I just ignore and they disappear. But sometimes I get really huge ones that feels like hammers all over my head and I get really cranky. I tried sleeping so they would go away, but they don't. And I just put up with it till they decide I've had enough.

I often have headaches. It's a family problem, my mother has them also. I usually take a painkiller as soon as I can because if I don't, it will only become worse and worse.

I had a really bad headache and I fell asleep on the couch (at around 5pm) When I woke up an hour later it was just gone and I felt really relaxed.

I hardly ever get head aches, but when I do, they really get me. For me, my headaches are like getting kicked in the nuts numerous times and then doing the splits, but in my head.

Well at least we don't live in the dark ages. Their cure was drilling a nice big hole in your head!

Every day.

Actually, it's one big headache that never really goes away, but just sort of fluctuates.

Rarely get them, though if I do, ramming some painkillers down my throat usually does the trick. No headache can deal with that, in my admittedly limited experience of them. If they did, then I'd probably just drink lots of water.

I get them all the time. I just take tablets. But I get them heaps - so I just get used to the pain.

I rarely get headaches.

You should put a cold towel to your forehead, that'd help it to go away. Either that, or sleep it off. ;)

I used to have headaches on a regular basis. Now I drink a decent amount of water every day and eat 2-3 meals every day and it seems to help a lot. People greatly underestimate the power of water. Fresh air is also vital. Open a window, drink some water and eat something decent. It should help just as much as any headache pill will. If you have a pill, you dull the pain, but you don't prevent it coming back once the pill wears off. Drinking etc. will do just that. Being healthy is far more important than hiding pain.

However, having said that, sometimes the pain is too much. I had a headache the other day that was stinging. I ended up taking the first pill I've probably taken in around two years. Man, that was awful.

I hardly ever get them, though I did had one that lasted for about two days a few days ago. Wasn't a very bad one though.

I watched a documentary on headaches today. I learned that the brain has no nerve endings in it and therefore cannot register pain; that the only pain you feel with a headache comes from muscle contractions on the sides of your head. :p
