Lumberjacks

I'm slowly discovering that I might be a lumberjack! This is quite surprising. I never thought I had what it took to earn such a title.

I like to wear big flannel shirts.
I like to eat pancakes for breakfast.
I want to grow a big bushy beard.
I like to play with chainsaws.

My life has turned over a new leaf. Soon I might find myself saying thing such as.... ummm. Whatever a lumberjack might say. What do lumberjacks say? What are some other telltale signs of lumberjackiness? Do I have hope? Who wants to be a lumberjack with me?

well cutting down trees is sometimes a bit of a giveaway...

and all i can say is

I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay
I sleep all night and work all day

I cut down trees. I eat my lunch.
I go to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
And have buttered scones for tea.

I like to press wild flowers.
I put on women's clothing
And hang around in bars.

I've heard on the radio that you need to be manly, hardworking and hard drinking to be a lumberjack. I am one of these.

I like pancakes and I like to work with wood and I do like flannel shirts, but I just can't seem to grow that big bushy beard.You could use mascara. When I was about 12-14 I would use mascara to draw a big bushy beard on my face and dress like a pirate.

Well. I'm obviously not the only one who had the Lumberjack song in mind coming here.

But now that that's over with and we should probably all shut up about it, I think you'd make a wonderful Lumberjack; I would SO join you if, you know, I could grow a beard, and use an axe. But I have a friend who might be interested.

I'm not sure if lumberjacks say anything. Mumbling and grunting should be good enough.
