what has been making me angry this month? those people that just quote something as a topic. no explanation, argument or anything. just a plan quote. so we read it through again. why can't people just say they agree (in fact that is quite dull too). but it's meaningless and forces people who are interested in the actual topic to have to scroll through all these meaningless posts. can there not be some kind of rule against this? it really is getting annoying and i can't be the only one.

I'll let Yamaneko address this one.

I try not to do it, because I think it's annoying too when I see it. Quotes should be used to directly address something that happened earlier in the thread, not to state something that you're too lazy to re-type.

Please don't make me close this thread.

I agree with you C#9, but there's really not too much that can be done about it. I've even been guilty of this on occasion myself. :)

:warn: xD

If you change your name to C#9, I'll promise not to spam your threads.

Why? Because C#9 is an awesome chord. ;)

They're not really my style, but they present an entirely different connotation than a reiteration of the post, or even than saying "I agree", and while I might not personally use them, I don't see a valid reason to limit the freedom of others to do so.

My advice is to try not to get annoyed by such silly things. It can only be bad for you.

I don't do that anymore. Once more than a few people started, I stopped. It's not that fun once many people do it. Ah, well, I really don't mind either way.

Oh, and I am an idiot who stinks. :)

I only think it's bad when it's pointless. There are some threads such as eye colour which I don't really care if it happens - they're still answering the question anyway. But if they're posting in a discussion thread and do it, then I'm more likely to be annoyed, yeah.

Case by case annoyance.
