Help with Elma

I can't beat Elma in the tournament to (blow off some steam since the Youth League and New Yevon) stoped fighting since Yuna's song. I seriously need help. Elma can even beat my speical dresspheres . Please I need help. also why is their a red arrow and every time I go to it I can't go up the elvater to get to the Youth Leagues HQ. Help Please :(

I didn't have any trouble with the battle tourney. What level are your characters? You might have to go and level up somewhere.

So happen I beat this challenge today.
My levels were at about 45, seemed just barely enough to beat the challenge. If you cannot beat Elma, forget about Lucil who came right after her. Level up!

Exactly what they said. You need to seriosly level up. I have my levels of Yuna 55, Rikku 46, Paine 45. I have the Key To Sucess. I've already done a New Game Plus. Yup. All you need to do is level up. Elma is really easy. If you found her hard, wait until you see Lucil. She has Doom. So have fun!

Nonono....I won alright, but Lucil took some strategy and thinking, instead of like other 90% of the game, where you just hold down X and done.

i bet elma and lucil at around lvl 20 to 25.

complete all the paths down the farplane place, youll get the meggido garment.

edit: after that, i stopped using the meggido garment, i wanted to strategize more.

i reccomend samurais for them two aswell, i recently played through it again, they have nice strategically witharing abilities.

for example... use shin zantetzu at the very beggining to kill of the gaurds that help elma... alls is left is her.
