our school mascot is an apache indian, but apparently the costume isn't accurate, so no one has worn it in years xD apparently apaches don't have feathers. Go figure.

Was it homer's idea that Springy should be the mascot for the '96 olympics? I dont' remember that episode perfectly but it was funny xD

Our school mascot was some guy with cornrows that sat around smoking pot most of the day. Looking back on it, the jokes and insults he cruck on the other teams were almost as offensive as the ones he cruck on his own team, so it kind of evens it out.

The Philly Phanatic isn't anything. It's just a mascot. I don't think it's supposed to look like anything.

I am bumping this thread big time, but I wanted to post on it.:D

The coolest mascot would probably have to be the mascot for the Utah Jazz (NBA). He does insanely awesome stunts, and on a college level, I think that BYU's mascot, Cosmo the Cougar, does cool stunts too. I am not basing these opinions on mascot originality, but on what stuff they do.

The worst school mascot would have to be the Santa Cruz banana slugs. It is a High School in California, if I recall correctly. There may be a little history behind that, but I doubt it.

But school mascots (http://www.bestmascots.com/catalog/spirit-shop-c-60.html) made my high school days for me. I loved my mascot. He was a Don, like Zorro. Not the coolest mascot in the world, but unique, and he encouraged school spirit.
