Who reads/watches this?? It's so funny!! I only read volume 1 and it's one of my favorite owned manga. Tell me what you think of it. Who's your favorite character. Whatever. Anything to do with it. So Far my favorite character is Tomo Chan. She's so active. Too energetic...

I’ve seen the entire series, probably the best comedy anime out there. One of those “it’s so pointless it’s funny” sort of series. And Osaka is by far the best character.

Yes,
It's one of the funniest mangas/animes I've read/seen.
And the cuteness; It's explosive. Both visual and aural cuteness. ^_^

Azumanga Daioh is probably the most pointless show I've ever seen, and typically I would hate it for that. For whatever reason I love it to death. The cuteness over everything is overwhelming, especially when it comes to Chiyo-chan. The hiccups were classic.

The only thing I don't like about it is that Kagura became a main character while Kaorin was relegated to bit appearances. It should have been the other way around.

I have the manga and the anime but I've yet to watch or read it all due to a not-so-comfortable computer chair. It's very funny though.

I agree. Kaorin is a much more interesting character than Kagura, and her homosexual attraction towards Sakaki is never resolved.
Oh well, I still have my imagination…

Sooo much better in Japanese, Osaka doesn’t have that crappy southern accent (well, she does, but the Osakan accent is so much cuter)

I watched the show through the previous week, and I totally love it. I can't remember how I got to know of it, but anyway I'm glad I did.
My fave characters are Sakaki-san, because of her shyness and undying love for cats and other cute things (just like me...) and Osaka, another character who is just like me. I'm so out of it sometimes x)

Oh, but I hated Tomo-chan all the way. She was overly competitive and kept bullying everyone (without even knowing it ...), like pummeling them over and over, especially Chiyo-chan. Those kinds of people are so annoying already in real life (unfortunately I know one...). Ugh.

Aww, and I almost cried in the end when Sakaki finally got herself a cat, Maya, even though it's a wild mountain cat. And the whole ending chapter aaaa~ *sniffle*

Though Osaka isn't really funny unless you watch it in Japanese, when I was reading the manga in English I still found her hilarious. "Fuhgeddaboutit!"

Sakaki wins in the end because of her undying love of felines and everything she does with Maya. But how can you not love Chiyo-chan?!?! Those pigtails are outta control!
