So topic: have you ever contracted some wacky sickness overseas, especially overseas where you don't get free health care?

I think I had a cold in Italy. Or that might have been me feeling awful because I was forced to eat tortalinnis every night. Thinking of the evil that is tortalinni makes me want to hurl, they're so awful. The only real food I ate there was McDonalds.

Feel better PG! Go get some azn medizn before you get Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome! :(

Don't get sick often and have never been overseas.. So no.

I did get sick off Mexican Chinese food once, though.

I've never been overseas, but I do happen to be sick as a dog right now. Chalk it up to being around too many people at work.

There was this one time when I went to Cancun for my High School Grad. trip. I bought this drink, and that night, I had a serious bad stomach ache. Luckily it went away an hour later.

I got sick due to plane food when I was leaving Japan for the Philippines. I don't know how I didn't throw up. I slept through most of the plane ride, thank God. Then the ride back from the Philippines to the States. I ate eggs and, lo and behold, I got sick for the entire ride home. Let's just say I had a stomach virus and also dizziness and a headache.

I'm in Hong Kong
Buy some anime for me, you greedy s.o.b

When I went back to Zhongshan. It wasn't hot but I was sweating up a storm. My parents said I'd get used to it eventually. I ended up staying in the hotel room for half the trip. Air-con full blast. Watching Chinese MTV. Good times.

The funny thing about SARS is the name cause it's called Severe Acute Respitory Syndrome and that name doesn't really tell you anything because in medical terminology Acute means Severe so basically it's called Severe Severe Respitory Syndrome which makes no sense because all you know is that it's a severe syndrome but you don't even know what KIND of syndrome it is. Like does it fill your lungs with Gak? Do you guys remember Gak? It was that Nickelodeon stuff that you played with and I think it made fart noises.

PG, shut up and take a nap you will feel ok-er. Or go to the embassy and be like "I SICK HELP TEH PIEPANTS" and they'll give you some Gak, maybe.

My name is...something..?

It's pretty good, but it's not something I could eat all the time.

i went on an 8-day tour to China in 2000. at the first hotel i stayed in (Beijing), i started to feel light-headed, cold, and dizzy. it's probably the food, since i ate before going to bed.

I remember when SARS came to Malaysia. It was funny...nothing serious, but if you went to someone and sneezed they'd GLARE at you and edge away. And people wandered around with face masks.

Oh oh oh and when there were HUGE forest fires in Indonesia, there was a lot of posionous haze in Malaysia too, so we wore lots of face masks. Dengue and malaria= very common here, heck of a lot of mosquitoes.

I've never had anything though. :)???

I found out that I can't donate blood because I lived in the Uk between 1980 and 1996. There's a small chance that I might have mad cow desease and they don't have any way to test for it, other than postmortem.
