You need to have a hard drive for your PS2 and be connected to the internet to play.

It's had Japanese, North American, and European releases, I'm sure you can get it in Australia.

The PS2 is not releasted beyond JP and US if i remember. PC is though.

If you want PS2 order it on Playonline's official site.

Yeah well they have to make a profit, while keeping up with electricity, matienence, patches, dev team, GMs, all their bandwidth, and all that other stuff. Its the same for every other MMORPG so why are you complaining about this one? PLus what makes you think SE is dumb enough not to charge both?

People act like it's so much money. It costs more to go to the movie theaters now than it does to pay for a month of FFXI.

It's $12 a month. At minimum wage that's only 2.5 hours of work.

It's only online; you can't play it at all without an Internet connection.

Well it might very well be $30 in Australia, I'm only talking about USD. Also, if you want to play on PS2 you're going to have to buy the HDD package which costs about $100 (again, USD), as well as the network adapter, which I forget the price of. All in all, that much alone is going to be the majority of the cost on the game. Especially because most people buy it, play for a few months, then declare "I hate this game!" and never touch it again.

I get charged 16-18 AUD per month. No way is it 30 dollars, you Americans don't get things THAT easily. =P
