I just got my wisdom teeth out today. They gave me gas. It was fun. So like this doctor puts a needle into my bloodstream and *bam* I'm out like a light. I woke up 5 or 6 hours later on my couch at home wondering what happend and I feel these holes in the back of my jaw. Pretty cool. Now I get to eat nothing but jello, chocolate pudding, and mac and cheese for like a week, and all I can do is sit on the couch and play KOTOR 2 so yeah- if anybody tells you having your wisdom teeth out is bad, they're liers. So to give this a point, what is the most recent surgerey you've had (but keep it appropriet), and how has if effected (sp?) your life?

So far, I haven't had to have any surgeries. Yay. And while laughing gas is probably really fun, "going under" freaks me out. AH

:D

I got two teeth pulled when I got my braces. The laughing gas made my arms all tingly, and kinda hard to move : / That stuff that puts you under though... I just kinda let it make me fall asleep XD I didn't try to stay awake or anything. I remember closing my eyes and thinking, "Ok, its gonna get me anyways, so might as well not fight it." It left me pretty disoriented afterwords though.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out years back. Getting knocked out before any surgery feels great. And when you wake up you feel refreshed.

Almost every time my cousin goes to the dentist, they have to put her to sleep. She's only five or six and gets as many as twelve cavities between dentist trips. If she refuses to open her mouth, then my aunt has to take her to a different dentist's office where they give her laughing gas or something.

Passing gas is fun as well.

Yeah, had my wisdom teeth taken out... almost a year ago. The gas was nice, and like Yams said, it makes you feel refreshed. I also got two week worth of Vicadin, which was also... interesting.

I've had only one wisdom tooth pulled out one I was 16. They didn't give me any gas but just numbed it a bit. It like anything after the numbing effects wore off. :(

My most recent surgery is having two holes cut in my gums so that my teeth would grow down, because they wouldn't to begin with, at the same time I had a tooth cut out of the bottom of my mouth because it was lying down. :-/

Yeah, it was really good because of the fact I got to do nothing for two weeks. After a while I really did start to miss all of my food though, that I couldn't eat. Plus, it really was painful. :(

[By Recent, I actually mean 2 years ago.] :p

I really want to try laughing gas. I hear in the USA you can obtain it out of whipped cream canisters or something. Time to import! Or just grow wisdom teeth.

I thought wisdom teeth were just a myth to stop you from doing drugs/homework in school?

OMG I only just been told about the wisdom teeth thing this morning by my best mate and I'm crappin myself
I'm 18 and my wisdoms haven't come through yet and I'm a fairly late developer, apparently its likely that I will have them ripped out AFTER the pain of teething (which I thought I was done with when my other teeth came through)
I'm really really really scared now. I want laughing gas just to cure the fear!!!!!

I've had surgery once I was under general anaesthetic its the best thing ever. this guy injected me then everything went woozy and heavy, next thing I woke up on the bed very disorientated, tired and in lots of pain from the op.

i'm 15 and one of my wisdom teeth are coming through it's killing me but it's not so bad
