Have you ever thought that the poetry of the gothic Romantics might be best accentuated with the groove of a hip-hop beat?

Pretend you're Dre, and i'm the expectant rap-consuming musical public. Find me some good nineteenth-century literature to funkify.

Alternatively, discuss Poe's hypothetical reaction to his discovery of a modern musical reinterpretation of his hypnotic, bird-fearing masterwork.

...Or do the usual forum thing and wonder - in reply form - who this Lars guy thinks he is.

Even if you rap Poe, your still not a poet.

HOLY HELL ANOTHER LARS FAN <3

I love MC Lars so hard. I found his EP in a record store a few weeks ago and decided to check it out. My friends and I are all big fans of his.

My favorites:
- Hey That's Me
- Mr. Raven
- Rapbeth
- iGeneration

On top of his musical prowess, he's also a really good guy. Some friends and i hung out with him at a bar for hours after he played our college, and we eventually wound up playing "Def Jam: Vendetta" on Bowling for Soup's tour bus.

It probably wasn't his place to invite dudes onto another band's bus, but we had a pretty girl with us.
