i need help, ff1 dos

im trying to beat the game with just a fighter and im at the last boss, and im screwed... im all maxed out, im level 99, masmune, all the good stuff, and im screwed, i need help, im trying to boost up my attack as much as possible with the giant's gloves then attack the crap outa him, but that doesnt work well, i have 1 elixer and like 70 hi-potions... :confused:


i've just realised that when u cast saber more than once it doesnt do anything even though it doesnt say miss or anything, so thats not going to work... i doubt that scourge will work but ill try it like 2 rounds just incase... I NEED HELP!


sorry, i think i might have to take that back, after i do it twice i do over 1000 damage per hit to chaos... or am i wrong??? why isnt anyone helping me? :(

I can't help you out here since I've never beat the game but for the love of god and all that is holy, don't triple post. The edit button is there for a reason. Also, have a bit of patience. This isn't a chat room.

I'm pretty sure the Giant's Glove does work when used multiple times. Also, use a "Hermes Shoes" item in order to cast haste on yourself. It will help tremendously. You can also use curtains to help yourself out.

get the ultima weopon from whisperwind cove and you should do 1000+ damage to chaos but mainly use holy and flare to do loads of damage and if your at lvl99 you shouldnt be having problems anyway.

You can always go the cheesy route and keep yourself protected/NulAlled etc while spamming Sabre on your Fighters until their damage goes until the quadruple figure mark. Ah the days when Chaos only had 1,000 HP.

2000 actually but thats not the issue.

the thing is DoS changed the rules alot. the monsters git much tougher. and smarter. its now harder to do single character parties. first thing, is get a nullall up quick. then start using giant glove, and just get yourself sabred and hasted. then just pummle him. and dont be brave, use elixer and heal spells/potions when you get to like 1/2 or 2/3 life

1 your 99 he should die easy.
2 giants glove works multiple times
3 you suck at this game
4 masasmuse is your best bet
5 get into a random encounter and use heal/staff/helm or the healra staff
6 you still suck
7 if you lose that fight you need severe help.
