Probably the corniest marvel comic book ever.I remember watching it when I was younger *nostalgic* The movie looks like it hasnt escaped the corny old style of the comics the way Spiderman or X-Men did. Has anyone seen the movie?

I don't like the casting of Sue or Johnny at all. They're supposed to be horrifically All-American™ yet Sue is a freaking Puerto Rican with a bad bleach job. And they made her the leader instead of Reed. Boo!

I always liked the Fantastic Four though, so I'll probably watch it on DVD.

I saw it at the cinemas the other day - for a superhero movie it was alright. But I'm starting to get tired of all these superhero movies. Mostly due to two things - after I saw 'Batman Begins' every other superhero movie I've seen kind of deflated before my eyes. Batman was just too good. Secondly I've noticed that all the superheros seem to be American and its their job to save the world.

At least Batman had an original and convincing story.

I haven't seen it, but from what I saw in the previews when I was at the cinema watching War of the Worlds the Rock guy is as dumb as he looks. He crushes a giant lorry on a busy road to save 1 person. Probably killing the driver and countless others on the road too.

The movie will be here on July 29th so I'll probably go see it then. As a movie, I'm quite sure it's nowhere near the quality of Batman Begins, but as superhero characters, I've always liked the FF. It will probably be a decent and somewhat entertaining a film. I'm not going to put too much expectations on it, so I won't be that disappointed if I don't like it.

Wait...the Invisible Woman's the leader? wtf?

i hated the comic book, so im not going to see this movie. i always though that if it takes 4 people to take down one villan, then they must not be that good. everyone should go see batman begins instead of this movie, i guarantee that batman begins is a better movie than fantastic 4

It was alright but not too great! It didnt really play around with the human side of things (they had ample of material with Ben grimm and they did for a bit), they just got more to the nitty gritty of descovering their powers! And Everything felt a little too co-incedental (eg.how their names were given...Not sure how it happened in the comics)!

Even though the story was a little weak i did have fun watching the movie! Not as good as Spiderman and Xmen but its still pretty good!

The movie might as well be called Jessica Alba and Company. Nothing about the movie appeals to me, I probably won't even netflix it.

I saw it and enjoyed it. Fantasic Four has always been corny but this did a good job with most of the characters. The end battle was kind of a let down, and Alba is supposed to be seen and not heard, but otherwise I felt it was worth my time to see.

Sue isn't the leader and I have no clue where Shlup got that. At the scene with the reporters they asked who the leader was and everyone looked at Reed.

Alright, good. I heard it from my friend who thinks he knows a lot of things and I'm glad to hear he was wrong. After seeing all the previews and publicity shots and stuff where they were showing her off I was believing him but I guess they were just like "THERE'S AN ATTRACTIVE FEMALE IN THIS MOVIE COME SEE IT AND WEAR LOOSE PANTS."

I think it was pretty good...not gonna get an Academy Award, but still pretty cool.

Dude, this movie was entertaining to the maximum. It was exactly what I expected... pretty damn funny too. I think it's getting slammed because people are expecting comic movies to be have actual depth to them and stuff... though movies like that are good too, it's always nice to have a good popcorn flick you can just have fun with. And F4 is definitely that movie.

Oh, and don't worry... Reed is still the 'leader'... though really, the ones who steal the show are Johnny and Ben.

Yes, Ben and Johnny were the best parts of the movie.

am I the only person who thinks the Fantastic Four are just lame superheroes? I mean, cmon. The only two that have useful powers is The Invisible woman and the Human Torch. If it came down to it, I think id rather not be stretchy, and The Thing? yeah, it may have been cool in like, the 1800s when it came out, but being made out of stone is just too...old. I mean, why would you want to be made out of stone when u could be made out of ADAMANTIUM or something equally cool. but meh. I probably just dont like them cuz im young and foolish.

I'd have seen this movie if they'd done Dr. Doom well, but it seems he was bastardized as much as any of the source material was.

The movie was a let down(and I didn't expect much from it). It wasn't that it was corny it was just not very well done.

Dialog seemed ackward most of the time outside of mad action
The pacing was ackward also
Bad acting

I could have delt with the story had the there at least have been good acting.

I can't believe they made this instead of Hulk 2. Hulk smash box office record!!1

"He crushes a giant lorry on a busy road to save 1 person."

What the fuck is a lorry?

the hulk was the worst marvel film from the lot. i dont expect much from the fantastic four. but i didnt enjoy spiderman and x-men alot tbh but loved all three blade films and daredevil which arnt the best marvel films (not to every1 else anyway) hmmm it all boils down to what you like in a film. some old classic films with "bad acting" can still be good, and films with the best special effects ever can still be a load of e (the day after tomorrow for example)

1) Hulk was cool.

2) Old Films also have good pacing but more importantly everything else is just as bad. Bad acting, bad cinematography, bad picture quality and much more. But everything is the same level of quality so it isn't like something is standing out and you go "They did such a great job on this so why not these other things?" It is more of a consistancy thing.

3) There is always a number three

I think it would have been a better movie if the space storm had killed them all.

It was bad. The script was just...blah. Honestly, did we need to have a big sappy "Oh we were in a relationship but that was long ago because you're dumb" every five minutes?

The Fantastic Four story is just too campy to be made into a movie, especially when they try to pull it off as seriously as they did.

the hulk was an excellent film it's spiderman that was the real stain upon marvel in my humble opinion, I have still yet to fathom why people think it was a good film.

You woulda had my support, but you went and ruined it by calling "The Hulk" an excellent film.

And I wouldn't see Fantastic Four, even if you got Tera Patrick to <feed me sandwiches> while I watched it.

Well, maybe for Tera. ;)

Well, maybe for Tera. ;)I thought the Hulk wassuprisingly pretty good. I think it only got bad reviews because hes so uninteresting. I certainly didnt think spiderman was bad. I thought it was pretty good overall.

I thought it was all right. Still the second-best superhero movie of the summer, but that's because Batman Begins was one of the best superhero movies I've ever seen, if not THE best.

I don't know where people get off that the Hulk got bad reviews. http://movies.go.com/movies/movie?name=hulkthe_2001 Seems like most liked it. Even at rotten tomatoes it got over 60% and all they have is a like it or hate it system.

I actually somewhat liked this movie.

I don't really like Jessica Alba, because I don't think she can act worth crap, and she is very overrated, but ya.

I liked this movie more than Sin City. There was something I just didn't like about that one. It bored the hell out of me.

Maybe the way the stories were or something.

2 action scenes, if i had gone to see this movie because i was interested, and not just to spend time with my girl, i'd be pissed.

But good character development, which is more than i can say for some other comic movies.
