Roleplays go in the Arts and Writing forum. You could try to get them to create a seperate section, though I doubt it will happen.

Or you could visit EoFF's Official ORPG The Gamer's Alliance. :D

If there's enough interest generated in RPs, I will personally push for an RPG forum. But most of the staff feels it unnecessary, and thus there is none.

I think there should be an RP forum. That stuff just doesn't make sense in Arts and Writing. It ain't art, and it hardly constitutes writing.

Yeah you just have to mark its a RP so people will know. Like if it's artwork then the title will be "[A]Insert title here". If it's a poem or just a story usually people would put "[W]Insert title here" but sometimes they replace the 'W' with a P. But if it's an RP put "[RP]Insert title here" or "[RPG]Insert title here"...

RP section? I wish : /

How good would EoFF's RP section be? I don't mean to be offensive, and I haven't read many of the RPs here, but a few that I have read have been pretty bad. I used to get my kicks by reading RPs in the Newbie section of RPGchat.com, and, boy, could they be horrible. And hilarious. :p I don't know if it would get enough attention, but if you could prove there is a large enough crowd wanting it (perhaps through a poll) and prove at the same time that the majority of the crowd isn't made up of idiots, the staff, with Void's help, might approve it.

If there were to be an RP section, I would heavily mod it, because bad roleplays offend me greatly.

thats not fair heavily modding a roleplay section, because not all roleplays are bad and to be honest, how can roleplayers get better unless they practise. you cant delete peoples rps because you think there bad, other people wont feel the same thing.

He didn't say he would delete people's RPs. I imagine it would be more along the lines of editing people's posts if they're absolutely horrible, or posting some sort of semi-strict guidelines and courtesy rules for RPers. A lack of grammatical sense is the major problem in most bad RPs I see.

I find it slightly annoying if its bad grammar, but I'm used to seeing it on neopets ._.

There was an RP section - aka Magestar. It died. And now this question's in the Feedback FAQ("things you will be made fun of for asking"), although the link to tGA in that needs to be changed.

There will be grammar guidelines but there will also be story guidelines. I don't care if it's a plot I dislike but if it's just stupid I'm not going to allow it. For example, "Party" RPs. That's just an invitation to spam, and I wouldn't let an RP like that even start.

On a similar note, why do we have roleplaying threads now when there used to be a "no roleplaying in these forums" stance from staff?

I'll make the forum tomorrow.

Can we change your name to whatever we want if you don't?

Azure Chrysanthemum

Personally I see no reason to out and out ban RPs, they can be fun and don't really hurt the forums unless we permit any old crap to be made into an "RP". There's no reason to ban them, really. If there is enough interest for a forum, I'd say it should be there.

Can you make an ORPG Forum?
No. Use The Gamer's Alliance or else possibly try your luck in the Writer's Corner.

Mwahaha. >D

Role-playing is prettymuch the lowest form of self-expression imaginable. You're lucky we allow it in any form at all.

There once was an open RP forum here at EoFF. The novelty wore off extremely quickly and it was probably one of the most short-lived forums we've had.

R.I.P. Wings.

That's not what I was talking about. I'm talking about a dead-set Open RPG forum we had that was in the same category as Magestar. It was awful.

Flying Mullet

I wasn't talking about the RPG forum. I was resenting Wings being closed to the commoners. :mad2:

I can't access Gamer's Alliance. The links won't work and no matter what variation of the address I use: www., forums., gamers-alliance, thegamersalliance, thegamers-alliance, gamersalliance, .com, .org, .net, etc.
I only get "Can't find server."

tGA is down for me, too :o

Loony BoB

tGA's server has been down for a couple of days now. The host (Coach, for those who know him) is working on retrieving the data so that nothing is lost before he boots it all back up again, however he's not able to do this at any speed, sadly. It should be back up within the next couple of days.

I actually haven't been in there for quite a while since the last time the addresses and links didn't work. I ended up forgetting about it.

I only get "Can't find server."A likely story *cough* http://www.thegamersalliance.com/ *cough*

Raist should sue them. Or they should sue Raist. Or I should sue them both.

Actually I like this site! It has GTA stuff and even an article entitled "Russia’s biggest spammer brutally murdered". Why isn't the other tGA like this?
