But on the sig I would like 'ASAP' centered and in large letters and under it I would like 'Alliance of Security Analysis Professionals' in smaller letters. I don't want it to look 'girly' - so make it look tough :p

Okay, I made 2 versions, one's lighter than the other. I wasn't sure about the texturing I put on them, but just tell me and I can take off the texture or I can make any changes you'd like made. There's a little butterfly in the lower right hand corner. ^_^

I'm learning to make sigs, and I had a question. When you get the pics you want, how do you just get the person in the picture on the background? (i.e. I have a pic of cloud from Advent Children, how do I just get him on a background without bringing the rest of the pic?

You need to use a cut tool to get rid of the background.

on photoshop i use magic wand and hold shift. it will add parts of the pic until you have what you want selected or you can use the annoying lassoo/magnetic lassoo approach.

File>Save for web and switch it to jpeg and have the quality around 80 or 60 when saving things. You should easily be able to stay under the file size limit with that. Also, try making the sigs a bit smaller so you don't have to worry about exceeding height and width limits.

i am very sorry, i didnt meen 2 b annoying :cry: i think part of the problem is this forums so bloody big :p the thing is, it says the maximum sig size is 250x550 and my sig is 223x550 its not over the limit but on the limit, is this still to big tho :confused: again i aplogise 4 being a nusance, and btw we were talking about the limits of avatars

Do you have words and such below your picture as well? That could be pushing it over the limit. If you want specifics for Avatars, there's a thread directly below the Signature Service called Avatar Service.

aaahhhhhhhh ok thats brobabbly what it is then, as i have got text under my sigs, thanx 4 that, the thing is, its easy to know the size of my sig, but how am i supposed to know the size of my sig+text ? i think im just gunna have to start making much smaller sigs...

what is a good size to make sigs, usualy i make them 150x450

You must also watch out for the kb size. You can check that by right clicking on the image and going to Properties. Our limit here is 50 kbs so that dial-up users don't have as great a load-time.

To check on the sig size that has text along with the image: print screen, paste into Paint Shop or some other program, crop the sig and then check the image information.

Ok, I've made a sig, on Picture It! Photo 7.0 and want to use it, only I have two problems, I don't know how to use it from Picture It! I could transfer it to paint but the only problem there is it will be given a white background, I'd prefer it didn't havr a background at all but don't know how I can do this! Help!!! Anyone know what to do?

So you have made the sig? And you just want to use it?

If thats the case, you should be able to save the image as a gif (if you save it as a jpg the transparent background will come out white) in the program, I'm not entirely sure how you do this, as I dont use that program but I'm sure theres a way!

With photoshop, when you click save it'll come up with a box asking where you want to save it too, then under the part where you name the file theres a drop down menu of all different file types, so then you select gif and it saves.....See if Picture It! is the same.

That image in your profile pic is 272. 39 kb. Our limit is 50 kb. It would be pretty difficult, I would think, to get that image to be 50 kb.

However, I don't remember removing that image from your sig. The ones that I removed were when you had three separate images on your sig. One was 36.97 kb. One was 70.77 kb, and one was 23.17 kbs. The total is way over the 50 kb maximum.

Right just to get back on track with all these rendering/brushes thing.

Whenever I use the brushes they don't actually do anything. Do you guys know why? I'll have a background and when I try and use the brushes it wont do anything at all. And if I try putting it onto a new layer and doing it to do what Khaotic said about CTRL & U it just says that the layer is empty and cannot access Hue and Saturation because it's empty. Help please?

Also a sort've purplish redish tint to the whole thing, and just have "~SteelbladeSword" written in the bottom right in that fancy writing you all use.

Can someone make me a new sig? This one's getting old (and I noticed it's over 50K). I want Laharl, Etna, and a few other Disgaea characters, and "Disgaea: Hour of Darkness" on it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, you're probably good for the job.

I only added the two characters that you mentioned, as I dont really like working with any more than one character in a sig, but I think that the two here worked well together. Any changes you want made, just ask :) I can also host the images for you
