The different endings, one of them comes to mind...

Well, I read the Endings guide of this game on this very forum, and apparently you reach one of the endings ("Programmers Room") by "stepping into the right telepod during Lucca´s sideshow, fighting Lavos - recommended in New Game +!" or something.
I doubt that´s in the very beginning in the game, so... when is it?
What´s this sideshow stuff, anyway?

The sideshow is at the begining, when Marle is taken to the past and you have to go rescue her. You can use the right telepod to get to Lavos whenever you want, so long as you are in the "Present" time period.

I recently started a new game, and Marle has just gone away in the telepod,
but I still can´t do a thing with the other one!
Crono´s just standing there, for God´s sake! :mad:

You can't talk to anyone in the carnival exept for Marle, just walk strait in.

It's not reccommended in new game +, it's only attainable in new game +. There isn't anything in the other telepod until new game +. Which is good for you, because just starting a regular new game and going to fight lavos, lavos could kill you just by looking at you funny.

It's easier in 12000 BC, when you've got three people, and you'll get the same ending.

Except Lavos's outer shell is a lot tougher in 12,000 B.C.

But then again, you only have Crono to fight.

I guess it all kind of evens itself out.

Well, I always found it weird that you were able to do the final bossfight in the beginning of the game, so I´m not that surprised, really. :D
