Magus as a character?

is it true that you can get magus as a character?
if so then how?

After the fall of the Zeal Kingdom, go to the cape (the little area on one of the few remaining islands). Go all the way in, then try to leave. Magus will appear. You can either fight him or opt not to. If you choose not to, he'll join your party.

he may have sweet magic and sweet combos, but the relic dropped is way cooler.


Actually, i always get him on my first way through the game, then on other games, i usually get the relic for different endings.

Magus is the sweetest character in the game. Too bad he has no unite attacks with anyone.

Magus has a couple triple techs that you can access via relics.

He is an awesome character. My favorite in the game.

He has the best techniques in the game. If you beat him in the cape, he'll leave the accessory Amulet behind. If you refuse to fight him, he'll join you with the Amulet equiped. Don't forget that, because he'll be pretty useful while Crono is gone.

I alwyas had Lucca and Marle in my party. Normally as the left and right helping hand to Chrono. When Chrono kicked the buvket I replaced him with Magus but once he was revived althiugh Id have liked to have kept using him I couldnt find a place for him as I preferred the other three by far.

But who needs team players? I beat Lavos with Magus, Crono, and Lucca, without using a single double or triple tech (oh, sorry).
