View Full Version : band name ideas?

Ok, my band is getting pretty popular and we were thinking of changing our name to something a little cooler than "Mad Cow". I know, that name is lame but we came up with it in 7th grade. Anyway, we have two songs named after things in FF: RedXIII and Ultima. If you have any ideas, let me hear em!

What kind of music to you play?

If its metal, then I would go with "Blood Jambalaya" :D

well.......that maybe could be a good title for a heavy song :p , if your not too keen on using it as your bandname.

Back in high school our band was called "Deadly Tide".....kinda lame, I know, we even knew it was lame at the time, but really couldn't come up with anything else!! We just did rock & alternative covers.

Its friggin hard coming up with a band-name.......it can attract your listeners.....or repel them sometimes.....very crucial part of establishing yourself as an artist.

How about:
Abyss
Belch (if its punk or hardcore)
Marlboro

I dunno.......it depends on the kind of music you play, and partly on the image you want to portray.

So yeah.....what kind of music to you play?

you'd probably lose very hard, but I saw on tv earlier that taking wild risks that usually look like they'd be fatal can be actually very rewarding in show biz

Cool name, though some may think it was a rip off of "Static-X"

Static-X??

Yep. Sort of a metal band......look them up on MTV or Yahoo Launch (that's where I discovered them, a few years ago), they have kind of an industrial metal sound. They sing "I'm with Stupid", "Cold", "Push It".... they're from Texas, I do believe.

Anyways, they kick a$$.

We do make our own songs, but this gig was for for a frat party. It was their end of the year thing and we thought we should do a bunch of good covers that people would all know. It paid off big time. They've already booked us again for next year. We usually play our own stuff when we perform at bars and such. I think its partly because I'm really critical of our own work... I dont really like to bust it out unless I'm really happy with it.

HAHAH i really like Bigger Than Jesus
