that's not something to brag publically about, it's illegal to have emulators and download the games for free... unless you own them, and there's no way you own FFIII at the very least...

how do you know? You mean other than the fact that you were born 2 years after FF3 was released in Japan? That and your name does not sound Japanese... The probability of you owning FF3 is slim to none. Prove me wrong if you can. ;)

It doesn't matter if we speculate, do you own it?

Actually FYI, even if you own the game, it is still illegal to download any games like that. That is just something someone made up so they can justify what they are doing. So yeah, if you are downloading games and you own them. Its still illegal.

MQ is on SNES, and the others are all on the Gameboy, which is a nintendo system except for TSW.... how about TA or T, or even CC, do you have those too?

Not a big deal. I have my laptop with all the NES/SNES games on it. My laptop can do everything your PSP can and more. It has a longer battery life, I can play DVDs on it (and not waste money on those crappy UMDs which since they are smaller cost more than DVDs... *boggling*), I can hook up to the internet anywhere theres an ethernet cable or wireless (I <3 Bluetooth), the screen is bigger and the sound is better. Oh and I can play FFVII and FFVIII on it too, since they were made for PCs. Not to mention I can play a crapload more music with this than you can with the PSP.
Laptops > PSP
Theres nothing worth doing on a PSP that can't be done on a laptop.

Considering it's impossible to own Final Fantasy Adventure II and III, I'd say it's clear he doesn't. :P

The only time i ever used a emulator was when my mate copied me a disk of his emulators, so that isnt illegal is it?
And if you are a true final fantasy fan, you should buy them, not do some dodgy thing over the internet or something
I have never had a ff on emulator, only GBA games from my mates disk

I own them all in one form or another, and no its not a "cheap thing people say to justify it" If you own the game, you can own the ROM. The only dubious games i have for ROMs are MQ and FFIII, the rest I own. (Except the craptastic gameboy series thats not even FF really, so I don't even have those as ROMs)

No you cannot. Even if you own the games YOU HAVE NO RIGHT to download them onto your computer. It is illegal. Roms are illegal. Show me proof right now that says it is ok that you can do this. And showing me a link to someones site who makes roms and lets people download them is NOT proof.

Acctually, the cool thing about America (Where I live) is that its legal until said otherwise, so in this case, YOU have to prove its illegal. I don't have to prove anything. If you want to prosecute me and the other people who own ROMs, you have to come up with evidence, not me. Innocent until PROVEN guilty.
Any program I own is called software, wether or not its on Cartridge or CD. Under US law, creating a backup of software that you own is legal, otherwise, ZIP files, ZIP disks and the ability to copy any program on your computer would be illegal.
EXAMPLE: I own Photoshop, and I burned the discs in case anything happens to my original copy. This is not illegal. HOWEVER, distributing these disks is illegal. Thus, I can create ROM files on my computer as back-up to the ones I own, but not give them to anyone. And again, I only own 2 illegal ROMs, MQ and FFIII.
As to wether or not emulators are illegal, this has actually been settled in court. Bleem!, a well known playstation emulator company was taken to court and they ruled in favor of Bleem!. So, I can have an emulator legally and ROMs of games that I have... LEGALLY... There, I proved it and you are straight up wrong.

This is all assuming you actually backed up the ROMs yourself. If you downloaded them, that's illegal. You cannot give nor get copyrighted content through the internet legally unless the original author intended it to be that way. Putting it on your PSP is essencially illegal because now you have taken your back-up and used it for something it was not intended for (even though using it on the PC is illegal in the first place) because it is improper usage of intellectual property.
Of course, I'm not really arguing with you. You aren't gonna get caught so no one really cares. I'm just trying to make you realize that not everything is legal. Having (self-copied) ROMs and Emulators aren't illegal, it's how you use them that makes it illegal. But hey, if they actually attempted to fine everyone for that, it would become a giant mess, just like the P2P and BitTorrent feuds.
