I like arguing my point of view, particularly when Im right but I dont mind being wrong because I enjoyed the debate/argument. Sometimes I even feel sick from it but I still like it. Is it only me?

Friendly debates, like over a video game, are fun to me. The ones in EoEo or Eyes on the World are a bit... scary though.

Funnily enough, the ones in EoEO and EoTW are just as pointless as the video game arguments.

... because I think you're wrong. :(Well Ive argued with Lionx and Odaise Gaeilach too. Some of the arguments we ended up on good terms with each other through PM (Lionx you're uber freaking nice :D ). I still wanna be on good terms with you Chris though (y'know even if you are wrong and all :p )

Whenever I debate I put on my battle mask, but only when I debate.
Of course we're okay, I never let it get personal. :p

I think arguments, or rather, expressing your opinions can go either way, from good to bad, depending on what actions are taken. I myself do it only if its needed, otherwise I try to avoid it.

I enjoy debating, but I don't get involved unless I know a fairly decent amount about the subject. The way I see it, the point isn't to change the mind of the person you're debating, it's to help make up the minds of the people who haven't decided which way they want to go (concerning that topic) yet. As in, I know I'm not going to get some schmuck to stop being Socialist, but at least I can make him and his ideas look stupid enough that other people wouldn't want to agree with him.

I used to be a debate kind of guy, but the interest has kind of waned for me. Other people's opinions just don't matter as much to me anymore, and other people who I would debate with were annoyingly closed-minded (except a few I still carry on with), so I'm not going to waste time, energy, and words putting forth trite arguments on trite matters. :\

Argumentation has academic purposes but other than that it's nothing more than academia. Due to an objectivist or at least unified approach to perceiving reality (by the sane), there's little need to argue, except to find the 'best' way to perceive things.

Adults in general do not wish to do this, but rather to promote their view above all others. Consequently argumentation comes off similarly to religious debate, which is difficult to accept as it lacks tact or attempts to compromise.

That and I'm a bigot.

I generally dislike arguing/debating because it almost never solves anything--it's extremely rare to change someone's opinion about something to match your own, if it's an issue of any merit, so generally I find it rather pointless. It can be entertaining at times.

strangely, i like debating too. i hate when its over personal matters, like social issues with friends or family, but i feel nething else really bring a certain...uhm....excitement for lack of a better term.

Arguements and debates are flippin awesome, I love to do it, even if I know I'm wrong, because I may undermine my opponents surety in his views, causing them to falter, and give in, making me the victor anyway.

What's the point if I'm always right?

Debating about games/films is quite fun, since it's always friendly and people are willing to let things slide if it keeps the conversation moving. Political/moral debates are rarely enjoyable at all, and can sometiems turn ugly. That's why most of the time in EoEo I simply post my opinion and get out of there.

I like to debate/argue. But like Lon611 said, I hate it when its over Personal Matters, they usually end up going off target and end up being a bitch-fest. :(

I like to argue, especially over things that don’t really matter like substance abuse and religion.

It would be much easier if everyone realized that I was right though. Oh well, luckily you’re all just figments of my imagination..

I try not to argue. It really kills a whole lot of time. I'd rather just ignore stuff, and go do something that I want to do. During arguments, sometimes you will see me constantly debating until the debates are just going around in circles. In those cases, I just leave because it's a waste of time to stay any longer (if it is going in circles). This usually pisses off the opposition because I leave during the middle of their conversation. So yea, that's me and debates.

I like to debate, and I do it quite often. In fact, I think it's really the only thing I am known for here at EoFF.

debating is fun. I used to get into debates all the time about religion. that was the most fun, you learn alot about other cultures when you debate, at least I do. And I hate getting personal about debates, its a different kind of fun when its personel, but then it should be handled person to person.

It's better if you threaten to spit in their eyes, and doubly so if you actually do that.

I'm a weak debator although I do try to hold up my point of view if I know I'm right. I just find it fustrating that, no matter how understanding I am in debates, it feels like the other person has absolutely no intention of taking any of my viewpoints into consideration... like a certain member of this site but I won't mention names :p

I enjoy a good bebate, when it's about something that I've got alot of info on, then it can be quite exhilarating. If I don't know anything about it, or it's just really stupid I just ignore the person who's trying to argue with me. My boyfriend and I argue all the time, but it's fun, and "cute" as some people put it. I like to argue with everybody . . . lol, I'm usualy the person who starts the stupid arguements with people, I'm so anoying sometimes ^_^
