I'm sure, somewhere far into the future, they will. As it is, I dont see them doing it any time soon, with their vocal stance that they wont remake any games that can be played on the current system.

Hell they better not. Ive stated it several times before and ill say it again: I hate remakes
I wont mind if its in like, 10 years from now but if its anytime soon ill be most annoyed. This goes for a remake of any of my favorite games........

sequels suck but remakes. as long as its just extra graphics and possibly a few small differences(e.g sidequestd.)then that would be fine.the remake of FF1 and 2 went fine but thats the only remake they have done so far.(as long as your not confusing remakes with sequels and prequels.)

Probably for PS4 or 5, or maybe a handheld, PSP+ or PSP Omega or some silly name like that.

I wish they would because I want to know what happened after the game ended... But at the same time I know I would be disappointed by the outcome because SOMETHING would be wrong. Unless they could make the sequel exactly the way I want them to. :D I don't know what that would be, plot-wise, but there are certain elements and qualities about FF8 I wouldn't want changed. I think a remake would be disastrous. Even if they did improve the graphics and didn't change anything else, it would lose the essence of the original game (imo). As you can tell, I'm very pessimistic. :p

I do however, think that it would be a wise thing to do, sale-wise. Think about hype they'd create if they suddenly came out with a sequel to their highest selling Final Fantasy game!

No. They won't. Square doesn't even want a remake for FF7 even though a lot of people keeps on putting petitions for it.

Why do you want it remade? It's already good as it is. Plus, remakes can be really bad.

i never said i wanted it remade . i was just asking peoples opinions if square would ever remake the game. ff8 is my favorite of the series and i like just how it was made .
just a question thats all.
