Massive update of Doom

As I'm sure you're all aware, the ginormous update is taking place right now. Details at the PlayOnline (http://www.playonline.com/pcd/update/ff11us/20050715Pm01B1/detail.html) site.

I'm very curious about the Fellowship quest, it sounds like fun. It's going to take me ages to download the newest patches. :(

They said it'd take around 20 minutes to download on my connection and install. The new updates do indeed look pretty darn' cool! I want a goblin hat!!!

noooooooo i hate when this happens....im all for the updates...and dont mind a bit of downtime......but as soon as the update is available....BOOOOMMMM.....surge of log ins and you cant log in becuase the network is too full...... :cry: #

i want to create my new taru character damnit !

I've been updating all night long. When I went to sleep, it was at 37%. When I woke up this morning, it was at...37%. Yeah. I'm 3 hours away from completing this darn thing, or so PlayOnline tells me.

The screencaps people have been taking of the lines for the Fellowship Quest are hilarious. It's so cute how everyone is waiting in queue for this thing.

After much fustration and near-smashing-computer-monitor-into-wall emotions, I have finaly managed to stick a decent connection and only have 1 hour left til it's finished! Yay!

I was thinking of doing that quest, but I think I might just wait until another day. >.>; It's not a need for me in any way.

Because only one person can do the BCNM fight at a time. Which means that everyone else has to wait their turn. And also, I'm sure, because it makes a great screenshot.

I'm suprised people would actualy co-operate for stuff like that. I figured a bunch of people crowded around the area trying to get in non-stop.

I love how (most) people in the game are mature and respectful enough to wait in line like civilized people rather than just go after the BCNM in a completely unorganized and mob-like manner. Other than a few idiots who cut in line, I think this is one of the best examples of cooperation I've seen in the game.
