FF character's motivation (spoilers)

Which characters in FFVI-X (you may include others if you've played them) do you think have the most reason to want to destroy the villian? Here're the parties I think have the most motivation and the names of the villian they wish to decimate

Tidus (Jecht/Seymour)

I agree with you in almost everything... but why Quistis (Ultimecia)? o_O

I chose Quistis because of her unrequited love for Squall and her professional relationship with Seifer. She also seems to be the only one who really understands Squall (remember the very first scene where she finishes his sentences?). I don't think any of the characters other than Squall were directly affected by Ultimecia's actions, but I suppose Zell could be interchangeable.

I'd switch Edgar with Cyan. I mean, Kefka took everything from Cyan. His family, his king, his home, everything.

I agree with this. While Cid and Barret may have fairly good reasons for going (Cid wanting revenge on Shinra for taking away his dream and Barret wanting to destroy Shinra for the planet) I think these 4 have the best reason.

I agree with this as well, including Quistis for lack of a better choice.

This seems about right. Though I think Steiner would also want revenge against Kuja for killing his Queen and basically destroying Alexandria. In fact, considering its basically the same thing that happened to Freya, I think that both of them would have a just about equal need for vengenance, though Steiner doesn't show it very well if he does. But if we're going just with what can be placed into one party, then yes, this would be correct.


FFX:
Tidus (Jecht/Seymour)
Yuna (Sin/Seymour)
Auron (Jecht)

Well, Kimarhi and Rikku both have pretty good reasons themselves. Kimarhi would probably like to kill Seymour and avenge his Ronso brothers. Rikku would also probably like to kill Seymour for attacking/causing the events leading to the destruction of "The Home", though because of her incredible optomism, she doesn't show it very much. But like before, if we're only going with a group that could fit into a party, then this is correct.

TurkSlayer, I think Cid and Barret have more of a vendetta against the ShinRa than Sephiroth, but I suppose the ShinRa were the villains in the beginning. In retrospect I agree with having Cyan in Edgar's stead. I feel Freya has a better reason than Steiner as she is searching for Fratley while Steiner's concerns lay in Alexandria with Beatrix.

For future notice the names I listed are the parties I would use to progress through the game with, which is why there are more characters for FFVI and FFIX and less for FFVII, FFVIII and FFX.
