Anyone like them?

I thought they were hilarious. Great comic relief.. the way they always appear in the wrong place at the wrong time, the way Wedge does anything Biggs tells him to and then gets blamed when anything goes wrong.

I thought it was a nice touch to have them in the game. It shows that all Galbadian soldiers aren't just 'robots' who follow orders without question. I just wish they appeared in the game more. ^_^

They should make them stronger and give them unique attacks which is dedicated to them and I like the both of them.

PS: How I wish in the ending FMV there will be footages of them but I know that is near impossible....

Yes! They should have had unique attacks and made them stronger, I agree. I hate it when battles I like are over quickly. They should have had some kind of double team move or something...

I liked the purely for the fact their practically in loads of the FF's ;D

Agreed. Their incarnation in VIII was quite good, it almost followed up from VI, in some respects.
They were two of the more entertaining characters, mostly because they were just a pair of victimised grunts in a war which was way over their heads.
Now, if they had MagiTek armour like in VI....;)

I loved the fact Square brought them back into other FF's same with Cid, it also shows the improvements and differences they put in them. Enemies/Good guys, Comical/Deep and Dedicated. I loved how they portrayed them. It was nice to see they had some similarities in the games.

I must say that the thing I liked more of them was their quitting after you enter Lunatic Pandora.

Huh? I thought they died ...

Na, they couldn't have died. Comic relief characters aren't killed off (unless you count Aeris as laughable...poor dear), and you know that even when B&W were beaten up multiple times by the party, they kept coming back. <shrugs> Persistent characters. That's probably why they earned a Card with their name on :D
So the whole planet knows the pair through the Card.....and they also know about the party, and the boss monsters......:S

They were sadly weak the first time you fight them xD I wasn't done drawing spells from them!

I liked them - they did add humour and the "normal" side of soldiers to the game.

I also liked the guy on the train who had to report to the fake president: how each time he did his duty he was thinking how much pay he was losing and how he now couldn't propose to his fiance, or give her a candle-light dinner, or even a ring!

This here thread got me thinking. After they dissapear in six -- they never really say they were killed do they? It would be great if they just made a Final Fantasy Adventures: Bigs and Wedge - where you played as Bigs and wedge and went around and revisited all the FF worlds. IT would be gold.

The blantent idiots could use a magical key for a sword while one only uses a shield - and all the characters from the previous games can be either remade, or renamed to add to the comic humor of the soidlers?

er yeah- we can't throw disney characters in there though. I think that has already been done.. hrm

But yeah - i would rent it.

I read a fanfiction in which Biggs and Wedge were President and Vice-president of Galbadia after the events of FF8.Very funny.

There's an interesting thought; who would take over the Galbadian army? Seifer was in charge, followed by his lackeys, Fuijin & Raijin, all of which went AWOL.

I would have thought that because they were viewed as Public enemy no.1, no-one would have dared take charge and they would have become defunct.

You know, the Galbadian army sure has had its share of goofballs: Laguna, Ward, Kiros, Biggs, Wedge, and those overeager grunts in Timber that don't listen to their superior officer very well. :greenie:

They aren't the smartest bunch either. They're a shambles when you sneak past the Dollet guard and go towards the communication tower... they ruin two of the giant robotic crabs in a matter of seconds, haha.

See, that didn't happen when major Biggs was in command!
