returning to Vana'diel

After getting a bit bored with wow me and and some friends are thinking of taking up FFXI again.

But I need some help on choosing the right server. Last time I played on Alexander, and the thing I didn't like with it was that it was very hard to get parties. Many of the players on that server was japanese and wrote [only japanese party] in their LFG-note. And the american players don't play exactly on the same times as I do. The lack of europeean players made it vey hard and almost impossible to get parties at certain periods on the day. The big problems with this started after level 30 somewhere.

So can anyone recommend a server with high population and lots of europeean players?

And since I am from sweden, if anyone know a server with lots of swedes it would be great!

Pandemonium is the server you need to come to my friend.

I dont know about European players in particular, but Pandemonium seems to have a high population of English speaking players. I havent had many problems finding a party there.

Or, you could just come to Midgardsormr and be happy. Largest EoFF member base is on Mirdargsormr, lots of english speaking players. (I'm australian, so I usualy log on Japanese prime time, and I still find english speaking players)

I guess its just to server jump til I get on either Pandemonium or Midgardsormr then. Earn some gil and buy a world pass for my friends. Becuase they have not changed that system, right?

No they have not changed that system. However midgard has a higher population due to the recent worldshift so it might be harder to land on ours.

i know ragnarok got a couple of scandinavian if not an all sweedish LS also got an all norwegian ls (wich im in ^^b) + lotsa ppl on every time i play... come to tha darkside <.<

Eidolon, if you want to go to Pandemonium, I can get you a World Pass. I know that Asura has a pretty high concentration of European players. Mikztsu runs one of the largest (mostly European) Linkshell on Asura, but they're all like level 75 and spend all their time doing a bunch of end-game stuff.

But yeah. Asura has more European players than Pandemonium from what I've seen, but Asura (like Ragnarok I suppose) seems to lean very heavily on the high level side. And you know what that means, HNM drama!

I think Pandemonium is a little friendler for people who are just starting out. In any case, if you want a pass to either Pandemonium or Asura, let me know.
