on my second playthrough of FF8 i noticed some differences.i think its to do with what instruments you pick in FH.so can someone tell me all of the differences that you can make the game do.E.G in dream 5 luguna either gives the moogle the spanner or tells him to catch then throws it at him and makes him fall of.(luckily hes saved by the wires.)
so what causes these differences and what are the differences?

I don't know about the moomba, but choosing the right instruments at FH makes a big difference to the conversation that Squall and Rinoa have, during the concert. If you get it right, Rinoa won't storm off in a huff to hassle the musicians, so the happy couple have a warmer, fuzzier little conversation.

It's mainly to do with whether or not you read the Timber Maniacs books you find in the game. Remember Laguna was a writer for those books. I know, I know, it doesn't make sense why it would change, then again nothing makes sense. We've got strange long-fingered things that turn into these red furry creatures, prehistoric yellow bird you can ride and monsters coming from the moon. Just go with it.

I don't remember what the intruments were exactly but i think it was like this:
violin
flute
tap dancer
guitar
^use that for the best outcome
electric guitar
saxophone
piano
bass guitar
^an okay outcome
any random jumble of them probably will result in a bad outcome. haven't tried it though

but whichever combo you try alters the course of the game slightly and i want to know what differences they are.and not the conversation right after yo pick the instrument i mean later on in the last laguna dreams and things like that.

hmm...I think having the old key might do something. Not sure what.
