Apparently Reeve has a last name all of a sudden. Crazy. Also yet another Mysterious Character (given the shuriken, it could be Yuffie) and a better look at the big guy's attempt at mimicking Vulcan Raven.

You know, given the FFVII close-range style of attacks, that guy just needs to swing the gun around a bit and he'll knock 'em all over.

That's actually one thing I didn't really understand. If Asul and Barrett are so damned big and tough, why not use their muscle instead of, you know, a gun? You'd think that Barrett would do a lot more damage with a good solid uppercut than Tifa would. Oh, that Tifa.

According to a different translation, the name is "Azul." I guess that's appropriate, given the blue hair. Interestingly enough, Azul also appears in Before Crisis, so I'll be interested to see exactly what SE has come up with regarding his character.

The July 27 post on Advent Children.net (http://www.adventchildren.net/), also the source of my current information on Azul, lists Reeve's last name as "Tuesti."

We do know, actually. DoC is taking place 1 year after AC, which is 2 years after VII. So three years after the game, I doubt Yuffie has a fully grown child.

It's Shake. Ashamed of his defeat, he realized he lost because Yuffie uses a long-range weapon. So he emulates her in his quest to become stronger whilst being disguised as a white Hungry.

That might be fun, however, I don't see how Reeve Toasty fits together. Maybe if he name was Veery Toasty.

hmmm...sum pll have cum up with sum good theories, but it probably is yuffie, i meen would it make sense to bring in a new charictor, with the exact same weapon as yuffie ? wouldnt that be like bringing in a new charictor with a buster sword, or another guy with a gun arm, or even another stupid stuffed animal being rid by a mooba ? not unles it sum relation of yuffie, but the only person mentioned in FF7 is her dad, so i think its her.....but then again i could be wrong ? it would be good tho if his name was Toasty, prehaps cloud cud pick up where the weapon left of and finish him by taking the piss out of his last name :D

Asul doesn't look fully human, to me. Spiky blue hair is one thing, but long pointed ears are quite another...

But Barret knows hes too big too look stylish with melee, so he goes for the "The Big Boy got Toys" act, and takes out some hilariously large "i'm gonna blast you back to outer space MIB style" repeater crossbow :D
