I was bored tonight so I decided to play around in Blender and try to make a lamp with an environment. I haven't done anything in Blender in months, and even then I was at newbie level, so I'm quite happy with the results.

There's some obvious problems, though. The textures on the lamp aren't quite good, but I couldn't find anything more suitable at the site I was using. Also, the trunk of the lamp looks separated from the base, which I couldn't get the lighting set to make it look better. Also, some vertices are really apparant in the base.

Other than that, I thought it turned out well for having very little experience with the program.

Looks pretty nice. I'm not familiar with Blender, so I can't comment much besides it like good to me. :)

Personally, I think it looks good (the base in particular), although I can't imagine why you'd want to do a lamp. xD Although I'm guessing it's because lamps are a simple shape.

I've never heard of the Blender program either, though, so I can't say much else. :(

I was going to ask the people in #eoff to give me a random object to do, but the current topic at hand made me afraid that they'd suggest genitalia. So instead I picked the first thing that came to mind - a lamp.

I might make something else sometime if I get bored again. This was pretty fun.
