Just out of curiosity how many people knew about this? Is squallofseed the leading authority on all this topic? It looks awww. And makes ya wonder if they never released the spirits within we may be playing 7-9 on ps2. But now after seing the 7 ps3 tech demo. It makes ya wonder curse you square for rasiing hopes. but i am glad that 7 was for ps. The ff 6 tech demo for n64 was odd.

can anyone translate what they were talking about? Too bad they're not making a sequel or remake (to early for a remake in my opinion)

They're talking about the fact that it's a tech demo showcasing what the PS2 was capable of. This was made before the PS2 was released, as a simple TECH DEMO. Not as 'hey, we're making a remake'. One was also made using FFVI for the N64, before Square went with Sony.

edit: To note, most of the talk seems to revolve around how pretty it is.

Looks about the same to me as on the PSOne. At least with the FFVI and FFVII tech demos there is a noticable increase in the graphics.

I agree, I didn't notice a helluva lot of difference.

I think the point was that the PS2's real time graphics would be comparable (and even a bit better) than the PS1's FMV graphics.

They look shinier, that seems to be the only diff. I can notice, but cool none the less.
