Bill Nye the Science Guy is a series of 85 1/2 hour long programs designed to make science accessible and interesting to kids by relating science to their interests and everyday activities. Basic concepts are presented in a humorous and exciting format. The program’s host, Bill Nye, conducts demonstrations and experiments in a variety of studio and field locations. Each program features a diverse cast of children, scientists and celebrity guests.

Anyway, have you watched an episode at one point? Even especially during a science class?

Yes, those were the days. :) Anyway, he does make science seem pretty cool, so that's cool. I miss Bill Nye. I hope he would make more new episodes in the future. :D

Anyway, this thread is all about Bill Nye! Talk about your favorite Science guy moments, and what not! :D

Oh yeah, we watched the in Physics all the time (twice). I think one was about gravity and he just dropped bowling balls a lot and the other was a about sound waves.

But there was much more exciting things to do in Physics so I cannot say I liked him much. Just spent my time watching the teacher set fire to tables for peoples birthdays and electocuting the trouble maker in our class. He'd always life and say "Haha, it is the amps that kill you!"

Bill Nye :<3:

I used to watch his show every day when it was on PBS here. I really loved the music video parodies that were done at the end of the episode, though in retrospect they were corney as hell.

Great stuff.

I used to watch him every now and then in various public school science classes, but I must say that learning actual material was far more interesting to me than having random facts and lay terms thrown at me by some TV personality. However, I think he's a cool guy.

My grandma used to record it for me. I watched it a lot. I've looked up info on him before; that guy is freaking smart.

Heh, my favourite episodes were the ones where they were talking about the forms of matter and that guy kept going "Solid" when solid was said. Or when Bill kept going "What?" when talking aboot electricity. Heh, it's sorta hard to describe a show I havn't seen in 10 years. :P

He's doing a new show that I look forward to watch soon:

Apparently he covers many "mature" subjects including cloning and stem cell stuff.

Good topic Proto, by the way.

Yeah, I saw a ton of them in school over the course of 4th to 9th grade, and on television afew times...I always loved the weird commercials they made up and lameass music video parodies.

Watched. It. Every. Day.

Man I loved that show. For some reason, the only thing I remember is he used cheese to represents atoms once, cutting it into smaller and smaller pieces until he couldn't anymore. XD

I loved that show!!! He used to do comentary on Battle Bots but that was a waste of his talents. I still remember the paradie of "What a Man" being "What a Brain".

Me and my family would watch it every Saturday morning, but we never watched it in science class.

Bill Nye totally owned Beakman. I loved the episode with the sea anemone. The announcer type guy couldn't pronounce it. Hilarious.

xDD I used to LOVE this show. O_O I felt smart and accomplished watching it, but now I realise I hate science and I didn't really learn anything. But his theme song was cool  and so was he. xD

I think my mom used to have a crush on him.

Because of that I watched it a lot. I liked it, but I was too young to remember any of the episodes, all I remember is bits of those weird music videos they did. And something about maggots.

I used to watch him in class, and at home. It was pretty interesting.
The songs at the end were quite corney for me, evan at the age of 10. I change the channel when the music began.

This man was my god. I watched him daily, along with Carmen Sandiego. Always a fascinating show, even the seventh time you've seen a single episode.

Same. I grew up watching Bill Nye. Strangely enough, my friends and I were reminiscing about it just the other day. I still remember alot of the stuff he taught me, like the reason the Titanic sunk was because it was built like and icecube tray. Then he sunk an icecube tray in a fish tank just to make his point. Awesome show. I don't think I missed too many episodes. Good times.
