A dumb question. A dumb question indeed. Why is shadow's face blue?? What the hell?? I mean I've seen pics of that flash back and his face wasn't blue. Is he sad or something?? Any theories...

Actually I've seen a guy actually green the morning after drinking way, WAY too much. His face actually had a green tint to it, it was weird. So Shadow might just be a really bad alcoholic, maybe?

Or maybe he's a drag queen on the weekends, and doesn't take off his makeup before he suits up to follow you around.

hes always in the shadows so that causes the illusion that his face is blue(the mask gives him loads of shade and stuff.).

I believe it's night when they show Shadow in the FMV so the color of his skin is "shadowy" (no pun intended) because there is very little light.

See, the "visor" that's on his headpiece isn't solid, it's blue cloth. The light comes in from above, though that thin "visor", which "filters" the light out, making only the blue tints of light shine through on to the small section of his face that is open to receive any light at all, which in turn reflect back, giving him the appearance of having blue skin.

Did you stop to think that that FMV pic was while he was on the Phantom Train and that he could be in a poorly lit area and it affected the color of his skin? Watch the opening FMV again.

Hm, maybe he's a poster boy for argyria? That's a condition caused when people take colloidal silver as 'medication' and it builds up in the skin, making them look silver-blue. I kid you not...
