Yoshi actually made some artwork for this game. Take a look!!

Of course we all know the logo!!
http://warmech.net/ff12/ff12-logo-usa.jpg

This is also kinda old news but there were only pics of that top airship. If you look closely at the bottom you'll see Vaan running holding ashes hand. Thats kinda new...
http://warmech.net/ff12/ff12-title.jpg

And heres the in-game logo. (I think) Well not so sure if this is the final logo or just another beta...
http://warmech.net/ff12/ff12-logo-alpha.jpg

Well thats all I could find for now. Hope this isn't old news. And I hope no one else made this thread...

Edit by Kishi: Don't post images that are going to stretch the tables.

Sweet! I can't wait until the game is finally released!

Yeah, I've seen all of the pictures before (obviously, I've seen the logo on many places, but I saw the airship pic on EGM, I think), except for the little logo...Never saw that before. Anyway, they should release some more pictures like that. :D

I think FF12 is going to be my favorite FF!!

Those pictures are 1-2 years old. Could you resize them? They're stretching the tables like crazy.

That being said, they're both fantastic. It's probably my favorite Final Fantasy logo, and the airship pic is fabulous.

Yoshi-taka Amano only did the logo.
I think it says iasamu.k. in the lower right corner of the dancing-picture. (It looks like they are.)
Iasamu Kamikokuryou is one of the art directors.

The logo, by the way, is so FRICKIN' GORGEOUS! The other one is too, but; Amano is love.

www.ffxii.net is the best Final Fantasy XII site. I think, maybe.

Oh, and yes, this is old I think.

And, and, oh, Akihiko Yoshidas character designs rock. http://www.ffxii.net/?nav=media/artworks

Oh, oh, if I'm incorrect then please don't kill me. I call him shnukums (http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=28) and i wuv him so.

Ummm.... The ship pic is old but it never really showed the bottom of it with the people and I dunno how to resize...

Do you have GIMP, or Microsoft Photo Editor, or Photoshop, or anything? Maybe even Paint. They can resize. xD Just do it.

Yeah, they're old, but nice-looking pics, I suppose. I'm just....annoyed with this stupid game right now. Even if it is pretty.

:D

I'm still gonna love VIII more but this one doesn't look that horrible either haha...

The airship picture is great, but it does in no way look like it's made by Amano.

Now that I look at it, it really doesn't look like an AMANO artwork :(

Most Final Fantasy games let you get an airship at some point, as everyone probably knows. But I'm really excited about XII partially because they said that airships would play a much larger part in the game. Just imagine flying fortresses, racing airships, transports, cargo haulers...maybe you'll be able to buy multiple ones. Who knows. But, judging from that picture, they're going to be unique and gorgeous eye candy.

I've seen an Amano of Cloud and Aeris, but I haven't seen anything from FF8, unless you're talking about the logo.

He did Squall, Rinoa, the two of them dancing, Seifer, group pics and a few other things. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any good quality material. :(

However, the art pieces for FFXII look very well done, Amano or not. I've always been a fan of Hideo Minaba's work, so I'm really happy he's working on XII.

He also did artwork for FFX and FFX-2. He'll probably continue the trend and do some adaptations for FFXII, as well.

You never know, now that he is under Mistwalker rather than Square.

I always thought it was hilarious that Shuyin and Lenne look totally bored about getting blasted to hell there.

Yeah, but it's not like he has an exclusive contract. He did stuff also for Capcom.
Anyone knows if he's published some of his works for Mist Walker already?

Someday Im gonna print out every amano art and make a little notebook. Im such an admirer...

Or you could buy an art book (or multiple ones, depending on how many he's put out) and not get crappy printout quality pictures on plain computer paper. I don't like his art enough to want to buy it, or print it out, but it's very good.

Kawaii Ryűkishi
08-10-2005, 11:18 PM
There's also the fact that a ton of his art isn't online and can only be found in the artbooks.

Mirage

What if someone who bought an artbook scanned the drawings and uploaded them somewhere? ;o

Kawaii Ryűkishi
08-11-2005, 12:04 AM
Evidently no one has ever felt the urge to risk damaging their artbooks to laboriously scan hundreds of pages for the benefit of cheapskates.

KoShiatar

You can actually find something like that on bit torrent, though I never downloaded any of it. I scanned a lot of pics for my thesis, but now my books are crying. ç__ç

Never been a big fan of Amano's art. I like his cover designes with the black on white with the name of the game stuff...but his other paintings are too odd for me. All of the people he paints are like "hyper white" and he just mashes colors together a lot.
