Anyone ever played Tombi, or Tombi 2? I freakin' love them both. Especially Tombi 2. I played that game so much, and then I got stuck on some haunted mansion thing.

Wow, they called him "Tombi" in PAL Land? That's a weird one.

What's his name in NTSC land? xD

In Japan and America, he's called Tomba. The real shame, though, is that you guys missed out on the awesome commercial we got.

I only had the demo. The real game wouldn't work on my playstation. :(

Atm Amazon has it on there for about 60 quid (second hand) lol so yeah Squally sent me the Iso for it and I play it on ePSXe ;D so I'm happy
but yeah

I ABSOLUTELY FRIGGGIN LOVE THAT GAME!!!!

wtg with pig molesting and cavemen with spikey pink hair ;D

But those flowers that laugh and cry really scared me ;o ;_:::___:::_:_:

I played the demo, but I never found it in stores. Shame, cause I loved that demo, it was fantastic.

I was another one who fell in love with the demo. That was a hard one to track down, even here. I finally got it at a toy store for like $40 two or three years after its initial release.

I never cared much for the sequel. It lost a lot of charm going to full 3D.

Did Whoopee Camp just send everyone but me a copy of the demo, or what?

I'm guessing the majority of the fans of the game got a PS1 for Christmas in '98, since that's the time frame when they came with the demo disc with Tomba on it.

I've never heard of those games in my entire life. What's the point of the game? They look pretty insane to me.

:D

In the first one, there's a group of evil pigs collecting gold to take over the world, and they steal your gold bracelet, which was an heirloom from your grandfather. So you set out to kill the pigs and set the crazy world back to normal.

It most involves hitting things with a blackjack and then biting them. It's a 2D nonlinear platformer/RPG with a very distinct style when it comes to everything. Brilliant game.

Nope, I never got the demo, either. Hell, I've never even played the first game :P

I own the second game (The Evil Swine Return), but its gameplay wore out for me after a couple days of playing it, basically because I got hopelessly stuck on a certain part.

I liked some items you could get such as the grappling hook that you could get.

If you want but don't have either game, though, you're in some deep doo-doo because both games are pretty difficult to find, let alone in working condition (I rented the first Tomba two different times from two different places, and it didn't work either time). I bought my copy of T!2 the same year it came out (1999), so that's why I have the game.

I got my demo on PS Underground. I must've played it an awful lot, but I eventually got rid of all my PSUs.

The PAL cover art is ugly, I must say. My friend is currently borrowing my copy, but I much preferred the hand-drawn front cover to the 3D render.
