Has anyone played any games in the Parodius series (made by Konami)? Parodius is a parody of Gradius, another good shooter. It features some crazy characters and many....colorful.....enemies.
I like Gokujyou Parodius the most out of the series, due to the powerups you collect and enemies you shoot (the bosses range from a pirate ship with a cat head on the front to a giant, living statue O_o )
There were other games in the series, the only one I can remember is Sexy Parodius, which was a slightly more perverted Parodius title. Enemies were even more wacky in this game, such as the girls taking baths in the second level.
The only Parodius games I can think of that were released to console are Gokujyou Parodius, which was released on Saturn in Japan, along with Sexy Parodius.
