whats ur favorite anime and why?

I like anime. Cowboy Bebop is the best that I've seen so far. But of the stuff on adult swim is really good too; Samurai Champloo, Paranoia Agent, Fullmetal Alchemist, blah blah.

Personally, I don't like DBZ at all, but meh. =)

i thought i would like champloo but it progresses too slow, and paranoia agent looks kinda like akira to me so i thought i would like it but again, progresses too slow

I like almost any anime that has good fight scenes in it, like Naruto and Shaman King, and Kenshin, along with really wacky ones such as Ranma 1/2, FLCL, and Excel Saga.

I also like other anime like Steel Angel Kurumi, Silent Mobius, Inu Yasha, Azumanga Daioh, Dirty Pair, and many others.

My favorite right now is Zatch Bell (or Konjiki no Gash Bell! in Japan). I'm not sure why, but maybe it's just the weirdness of the whole thing. My other favorite right now is Naruto for its strategy-based fights.

My all-time favorites are Ranma, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, and Original Dirty Pair, all for different reasons.

good point, i've only seen the movie but definatly an amazing anime, but thats more of a true anime lovers anime, unlike things that were always on cartoon network, evangalion is one of the more serious anime's that didnt gain as much popularity in america, bakuretsu mentioned some anime's that also werent as famous in america, nice to know there are people here that dont just see the stuff they put on basic cable

BLEACH! I really like the bleach anime... I also like FMA and Evangelion. I'm not really a big fan of DBZ but I will watch it on occasion.

I havn't seen too much anime or read much manga... hmmm, I liked hellsing (or what I watched of it) and occasionally watched read or die on anime unleashed.

I always considered myself an anime fan until recently, I sat down and tried to think of series that I actually enjoyed, and could only think of a handful. None of which were up to par with what I would have expected, even. I still like much of the styling and art of some newer animes, even if their stores can't hold me in. Anyway, my favorite is Last Exile, which nobody ever seems to have an opinion on.

DB is great. DBZ was great for the first 50 episodes. It got so unbelievably drab afterwards.

FMA, Get Backers, and Champloo are 3 of my faves.

Actully eva is plaing on cartonn networks adult swim octber 23 i think. They just got it.
It is great. I like Saiyuki i noticed that hasn't been mentioned. Um I dont have a fav or anyhting but i beascly like all anime's that have some violence in them. And not puny psycoligicical stuff like parnioa agent or serial experment lain or bublegum crisis. Vampire hunter D is good as well as Hellsing. Hellsings beetter really. Ok i'm stoping i like most of the thing's people have already said.

If we're saying movies too, then I'll say Princess Mononoke is the best thing out there; or maybe it ties with Millennium Actress, I don't know. My Neighbor Totoro is also a favorite, even if I haven't seen it since I was six.

Any Gundam animes would make it to my fav. animes. The ones I like the best are Gundam Wing and Gundam X.
