Missable cards...?

I´m getting mad at all these goddamn missable items, and in order to get as clear info as possible, I will ask about things in categories.

...and this time it concerns cards; do you know if there are any missable ones?
I THINK you can miss some cards at this place where you play against some card master in Dollet, in a secret room.
But anyway, do you know of anything?

im pretty sure you can win any cards off of the queen on disc four... im not certain though.

also, i think the dollet guy has the shiva or siren card??? you can also get some mags in his room like occult fan, or something. all you have to do is go to th cafe, go upstairs, beat the guy standing by the poker table, he'll lead you into his room, and keep playing him till he puts up siren or shiva????

Do you know of any missable Magazines?
I heard from someone that you can buy them all later,
with the exception of Combat King 003.
But anyway, just for safety, in case the guy who told me this (thanks a lot!) missed something back then.

im pretty sure you can buy ALL magazines from the esthar magazine shop, although you might need tonberry's familiar ability. im not sure about the occult fans though, but definately most weapons monthlies, the pet magazine, and the combat king magazines.

however, just in case, you dont want to miss weapons monthly first edition.. its the only mag youll really be sore about if you miss, because you need it to make the lionheart, which is the only weapon youll ever really want to upgrade to, as it teaches squall the lion heart limit break

Actually, you dont need the magazine to upgrade the weapon - as long as you have the items you can upgrade without any problems - you can even get the Lionheart on Disk 1!

yeah i can't imagine how you would get all of those items for a lionheart gunblade in disk one. and you can't just upgrade it on you're own, you have to be able to access a store that will upgrade it FOR you, and i don't know any junkshops that will have the lionheart upgrade that you can go to in disk one.

You need:
-12 pulse ammo

-4 dragon fangs

-1 adamantite

-- 12 pulse ammo can be accuired in 2-3 ways, but both require the Ammo-RF abbility (ifrit)

-1.- You can do it the very slow and painful way-win 20 elnoyle cards (a few people here and there use them, starting in blamb), and then refining them into 2 energy crystals, which can then be refined into 20 pulse ammo.

-2.- The much faster way is to learn the mug ability (diablos) and increase your average character level with Squall, Selphie and Quistis to at least 30 by the second encounter with the "dream world". There you find monsters called Elnoyels near the end of the place, and they only appear in this one place! Any Elnoyels lvl. 30+ will give you laser canons when muged; after getting 3 you can move on, or you can stay and get more, as they are quite useful (1 refines into 5 pulse ammo, and Quistis learns homing laser from them). Now refine 3 of your Laser Cannons into 15 pulse ammo. {Belhemels very rarely drop laser cannons, so Elnoyels are the way to go}

--You can get quite commonly 6 dragon fangs from lvl. 20 - 29 T-Rexaurs, which can be found commonly in the training centre, and not so much in the forests of blamb.

--Adamantites can be aquired one of 2 ways:

-1.- Refine Minataur card into 10 Adamantites.

-2.- Adamantite is a very common drop by lvl. 30+ Adamantoises, which can be found at a beach close to Dollet, near a forest.

After aquiring these Items, go to the nearest Junk Shop (most likely Dollet or Timber, unless you're in Deling City, then there is one there.) and you will be able to remodel your current GunBlade to the Lionheart even if you have no Weapon monthly magazenes at all! :D

You're sure that these towns allow you to refine those? because you can only refine it if it's there in the list of weapons to upgrade to.

and if you can, i'd like to see a screenshot cuz i never knew they even listed the lionheart in their upgrade weapons in any of those junnkshops that you listed.

it doesnt matter what junkshop it is. it matters weither or not you have the magazine if they will list it. you cant get weapons montly first until disc 3 when you play as laguna in esthar.

Weapons will show up if you have all of the items to get them or have read the magazine.

'cause I've got like the second strongest gunblade right now and I got it from balamb's junk shopxD

Exacly, you only need all the necesary items (or the magazine) and the weapons appear on the list.

All junk shops are exactly the same.

im working on getting squalls lionheart, which is a pain, because i cant go to the area where grendels show up for dragon fangs until i learn diablos mug, because im forced into laguna dream 2 where i can mug laser cannons from elastoids for pulse ammo, but before i get diablos i have to have an average party level of 30. harrrrrrrrrrrrd work. also my party average level has to be 1-29 before i can fight grendels and get dragon fangs. :mad2: :mad2:

You can also get Dragon Fangs from T-Rexaurs lvl.20-29.
