I have a question about the movie 'Ever After' - with Drew Barrymore and Anjelica Huston.
In the movie, wasn't Danielle De Barbarac the daughter of a wealthy noble? So why then in the movie did Danielle not stand up for herself in the 'wing' scene at the ball - when the Baroness Rodmilla De Ghent called her 'nothing but a servant and she is a liar'?
If Danielle's father was a wealthy noble, wouldn't everybody already know that Danielle was his daughter and question the Baroness about her acting as a servant and peasant.
It doesn't make sense to me - what are your thoughts?
