What is the eaisest way to getting ENERGY CRYSTALS, POWER GENERATORS, or LASER CANNONS on disc one????????

Well, ten Elnoyle cards to get an Energy Crystal. Or, high level Grendels to get Laser Cannons (you can also get them during the Laguna dream sequence from high level Elastoids, I believe, but that isn't very efficient). You need Blitzes to get the Power Generators, and you can't get them until you get the mobile Garden.

There might be cards which can refine to Laser Cannons, but I can't remember.

im doing the elnoyle thing right now.. im 1/20 ;)

are there any specific npcs who carry elnoyles? should i keep playing against the guy who dropped me the first one?

im doing the lionheart/disc1 thing, and i know that laser cannons drop from high level elastoids, but im also trying to keep my level low, so i dont want to level up, even if its the eaisest way to get the pulse ammo early..

one of my other options is pumping two characters who i will not use while squall is dead before the laguna dream, but if i find that someone keeps playing elnoyles, ill stick to facing them.

btw.. the trepe in the cafe dropped the first elnoyle and the quistis card ath the same time.. i took the elnoyle... im gonna keep playing him to see if he plays any more elnoyles.

[edit: ok. so far ive won five elnoyles off this guy, but he seems to be playing them less and less after i win.. after it becomes too uncommon for my liking, ill advance in the plot and play from zell. ive also tried this with his other cards like wedge&biggs, behemoth, and tonberry king.. same thing happened]

Please don't double post. Use the "Edit/Delete" button. That's what it's there for.

Anyway, I would've taken the Quistis card. But, for my Elnoyle card collections, I usually play Zell's mom. While she doesn't drop them constantly, she does have a good chance of using them, and she also uses other rare but useful cards like Iron Giants.

triple triad was really hard at first for me, i wanted every rare card so i had to quit and redo like a bunch of times...

but then later, after a few wins the game seemed to get way easier, and now everybody is too beatable. lol.

hm. i have 12 now, from various people. i just found out the Card Mod Rare for Bite Bug is Elnoyle.. im gonna give that a try.. not likely to happen though.. *sigh*

Um, no. Mugging them gets you Moon Stones (you know, those things you use to make Jigglypuff and Clefairy evolve? :shifty: ...Um, I mean, those things used to make Irvine's Exeter...). You have to defeat them without mugging them to get Energy Crystals. And he is asking at a point in the game where he does not yet have access to Elnoyles.

I have a better suggestion though :<.
Use meltdown and fast ammo, with high str, that easily outdamages pulse ammo, because pulse ammo is so damned slow.

Why would you need exeter to shoot pulse ammo?

You can use any of Irvine's weapons to shoot any of the ammos. Squall is the only character whose Limit Breaks are dependent on what weapon he uses. Also, Pulse Ammo is used to make the Lionheart, so there is another reason to get it.

The undoubtedly quickest way to get Pulse Ammo is in Disc 3, after the Lunar Cry, talk to the Elnoyle, defeat it, and collect Energy Crystals. Ammo-R them, and ta-da!

True, by fighting level 30+ Belhelmels, or level 20+ Elastoids (in the Laguna dream sequence), or playing cards to collect tons of Elnoyles. The request was for the fastest. Which is undoubtedly the Elnoyle in Eshtar.
