I know that not everyone here is a Dragon Quest/Warrior fan, but for those that are, here's some of the first English screens:

I'm not a fan myself (sorry, but I think DW/DQ doesn't deserve the fame it has), but I think this game might get me interested...It is good looking (from what I could see, that is), must have an enjoyable gameplay, and I truly hope it has tolerable music, at least. Looking forward to it. :D

A lot of these screens have been on gamespot for a long time now :p

I didn't say that they're late-breaking. I said that they're some of the first. :p

I like that they kept the text descriptions. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

>>> Woah! That change a lots of things since DW7, looks like Enix stopped being lazy and is finally going serious with this game.
Dont get me wrong I like DW games but for a company like Enix turning a marvelous franchise called Dragon Quest into half assed games wasnt very good..

I'm not really that fond of Akira Toriyama's artwork, but it does look to be an interesting game nonetheless. The Super Saiyan-like "tension" mode amuses me.

I'll probably pick this up. I loved all the other DQ games (I'll eventually beat DQVII!!).

I sure hope they streamline the leveling system. Going for Dumbira Hearts was simply painful.

Obviously, the graphics are almost perfect; it's a wonderful artistic successor to games like Rock Man Dash that tried to achieve the same effect of a video game that looks like a cartoon. If they can pull it off this well on the PS2, the PS3 should be able to make games indistinguishable from animation.

It's beautiful, but they could have done more with the dungeon backgrounds. They look pretty crappy to me, like Dark Cloud's dungeons. I hope it doesn't turn out like that.
