Which programs do you use to play music? What about videos?

I use Winamp 2.91 for music and Media Player Classic for videos. But I'm getting annoyed at 2.91 sometimes, and wouldn't mind some useful alternatives - especially if they have a good library system, since I use my library a lot.

I just use WMP, and was thinking of changing to Winamp when I get a new computer, but I don't know if it's really worth it. Is it worth the hassle changing from Media Player?

Winamp 5.09 Pro for music.
Do you ever have any problems with it? Pros/Cons?

Works like a charm, though it doesn't always like to stay on top. Other than that, no complaints.

No hassle. In fact, I'd imagine it's much more of a hassle waiting for WMP's ridiculous load times for its over-bloated interface.

Winamp 5 for music, MPC for video.

I refuse to download any sort of Real software just to view some horribly compressed video on the Internet.

If I had to input the information for a song in WMP (say, it came from a mixed burned CD-R so I couldn't download the information), that wouldn't carry over to Winamp, would it? I don't think I've done that too often, so maybe it doesn't really matter, but it was part of my hesitation to switch.

I use Windows Media Player for everything. No complaints at all.

Yeah, it's all written into the file, so any program that opens it can read the tags you've given it.

I use winamp 3. I'm stubborn and don't like the way that winamp2/5 look so while I have them both installed, I don't use either ^_^

I don't watch many videos, but usually they just open in another session of winamp3.

Just installed Winamp 5.09 using the classic style (since I love the 2.91 look) and it's working a charm so far, and the library actually fixed the problems that 2.91 had. Yay.

Now to finally sort out those playlists... I hate going through 2400+ songs. :(

I use Quicktime for videos because it makes me want to kill myself less than WMP or RealPlayer. I'd try something else except I don't enjoy watching videos on my computer enough to bother finding another program and download it.
Music programs are a lot less suicide-inducing.

I switched to WinAmp from WMP recently out of nothing else but sheer boredom. I don't have a problem with either.

Windows Media Player, because it is the only one which likes fully working my 7.1 surround sound speakers. WinAmp just plays through 2 speakers and the sub and I have never bothered to try and fix it.

Winamp. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/prozaccat/desktop.jpg)

It's awesome. I can't imagine using anything else. I especially like monkey-proofing my desktop with specific band playlists so my friends won't whine about not being computer literate enough to work Winamp. I would use Windows Media Player but it messes with the way I have my taskbar setup (I have it set to be 3 bars high, and everytime I use Windows Media Player it sets it to 2 bars). Plus I haven't found an mIRC script with WMP support.

Everyone seems to be these days. Did you now? I'm too lazy to find an actual script, and no one seems to script for winamp3 anyways.
