For class I'd vote British, for practicality, I'd vote Japanesse.

Morocco =o

Probably Japanese, Toyotas and Hondas are really reliable. Although I think Pontiacs are really pretty... n_n Ah, I'm not picky on my car, actually... as long as it's not too big and it works

The Japanese, for Mitsubishis. I am SO getting a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder when I'm 17. :)

And the Italians for style. Lambourginis. <3

Japanese, by far. Toyota(who also makes Lexus, btw), Honda, etc. Great cars.

European(just general European) comes second. BMW, anyone?

Best....hard to say.....

Combine quality with affordability, I'd definitely have to say Japan, as some have already posted. Toyata, Lexus, Honda/Acura, Nissan (Skylines, wish they massed produced them here *sigh*), Subaru, Infiniti, Mitsubishi.......

Germany is up there too, with Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagon (not near the same level of quality as Audi, BMW or Mercedes, but are solid vehicles, for quality and affordability).

Italian makes are amazing for true sports cars, like Ferrari, and Lambourgini. However, the price is only suited to the very wealthy.

Overall, I'd have to say Japan, as they produce the more makes of great cars than any other country, many of which I'd love to have. Next to that would be Germany, in my opinion.

Add porsche and Germany wins. If I wanted an affordable, practical car I would go Korean not Japanese anyway :/

Britain has the mini cooper. XD

Germany has dependable cars.

Japan, well, their cars are just usually sporty.

Yeah, as some people mentioned, Germany is up there(at least second) just with BMW and Porsche. But Japan still ranks highest in my opinion - it's got the luxury cars(Lexus - which may not be actually be produced much in Japan, but it is owned by Toyota), and the dependable, good gas-mileage cars(Toyota, Honda, etc.).

Of course! How could I forget Porche!

I didn't mean affordable and practical, I said affordable and Quality. In quality, Japanese makes such as Toyata and Acura are far superior to Korean. Though Korean makes are getting much better.

And I say this, even though I own a Hyundai Tiburon (and that's the ONLY Hyundai I would buy). I wanted a sports-coupe, but a Toyota Supra or Nissan Skyline was out of the question :p , and an Acura RSX was a even a bit pricier as well (though I could afford one, but my Tiburon is better for my overall budget). The Hyundai warranty is awesome too.

Though Germany boasts Porche too, that's a make more suited to the wealthy, and I think Japan makes more quality, yet affordable lines.

Because no other nation bothers making huge trucks with 4856730458 horse-power. :p

Pick-ups and SUVs are most popular in the US. For a good, large SUV(that you don't want to pay $60,000+ USD for with Lexus or BMW), you'll have to go with an American manufacturer.

Most foreign cars(Lexus, BMW, Toyota, Honda) get better gas mileage and last longer than American cars.

China.

I mean, everything they sell in America is made in china, right? or taiwan at elast. Sometimes mexico.

Don't really like Domestics (with a few exceptions like the Dodge Viper, or the old Dodge Charger, like the General Lee, or the old Corvette Stingray).

GMs and Fords just depress me. Boring, usually very little HP for the size engine (i.e. how often does GM make a V6 with under 200hp). Likewise with Trucks, you often get V8, with usually under 300hp, when they could be pumping a ton more.

What I like about about the Asian makes is that you get a 4-banger (4 cylinder) with tons of HP. Like the Subaru WRX STI - 4 cylinders, all wheel drive, 300hp, light vehichle *drools* = one quick, and great handling car.

Its also hard to modify domestics. Its easy to modify, and supe up Hondas and Toyotas, but not Fords or GMs.

Meh....that's just me, I guess.

Not to mention Volkswagon from germany.

Though, my favorite American car is a Ford Mystique. It's such an old man's car, but so roomy, and nice.

If anything Japanese people got it down. They can copy anything and make it 2x better. American cars in general and even European cars require much more matienence and replacements of parts that makes it not worth it in the long run. My 1981 Toyota Tercel still works pretty fine even now. Thats the lasting power. And yes i am biased against any car outside japanese ones, but thats because all the testing shows, that japanese Toyota or Honda cars are the best and most worthwhile of your money in terms of cost, matienence, and performance. I have a hate on American cars which are poorly made.

I live in a family full of big people (except for my mom and me). Every one is over six feet tall and 180 pounds. So for me I'd have to say American cars rule over the rest just because of the size.

american cars have no class, they may say 400 hp on the box but after you take into account the wieght and the gigantic cup holders you get about 12.
Mind you new ford GT40 is cool

Besides Corvettes and Mustangs and Firebirds (those ARE American, right?) I'm not a big fan of American cars. Though stepping into an SUV is so empowering. My Dad had one because he got it from his job temporarily, and damn it was cool. :p

Well, Italy has nice sports cars (lamborghini, maserati, bugatti, etc) and so does Germany (porsche, audi, mercedes benz) but I'd say Japan has the best cars---especially toyota and mitsubishi.
Yet somebody earlier said british cars have class; i couldn't agree more.
