there is a faq on gamefaqs to do zanmato everytime. try searching for it.. (ps. i don't like zanmato, i prefer to beat dark aeons without it)

He has the North American version of the game (no dark aeons), but I wouldn't put it past him to use it on everything he runs into nonetheless...

you need to make him like you more(by paying him loads of gil in battles.)and in the next battle pay him loads of gil and if yojimbo likes you enough(the more he likes you the better the chance.)hell use it(there a higher chance of him using it if if his overdrives near full.)to make him like you(to tell how much he likes you see how much damage he does and if he does decent attacks for a small amountof money.)if he uses daigoro it means the relationship drops aand the freindship drops loads if you only pay him 0 gil because he walks off if you do that.if he useshis other 3 attacks that means hell like you more(which means hell do more damage and use good attacks like zanmato for less gil.)

Talking about the Magus sisters, i cant find them, i have the blossom crown that has something to do with them but what now, i dont even know what or where remiem temple is. Please tell me how to get there and what i have to do further.

Oh and how long did you guys played the game before beating the first dark aeon(dark valefor), im busy 80 hours now and i'm standing no chance in winning.

Remiem Temple is in the Calm Lands, get on a chocobo and you go next to the entrance (Past Macalania Woods), then go to your right and there is a Chocobo feather on the ground, press "X" next to it and you jump to a platform , keep doing this and you get to another screen whereby you go across a bridge and go inside a temple and Belgemine is there , fight all her aeons and she gives you the flower sceptre, with the blossom crown and flower sceptre go to the door BEHIND belgemine and open it with the Celestial Mirror, and VOILA. I hope this helps you.

You need anima for the magis. I hate yojimbo I meen I have th3 magus sisters doing 99999 with each hit and can heal and passado. Plus if you do the calm land mission in chapter 3 you will see the Zanmato cinematics X-2.

I read once that if you pay him more to get him, more he likes you, so if you pay him 500000gil he'll like you more if you paid him 300000gil. i got Zanmato only twice, one against nemesis and one against Dark Anima.
First of all, all my characters were with low HP and that must help, and second, I paid him somewhat like 1500000gil and he used wakizashi, then, i payed again 1500000gil and he used Zanmato.

I guess i just got lucky, the first time Yojimbo's overdrive filled i payed him 2000gil and he used Zanmato. Now whenever his overdrive is full i can usually get him to do it for that amount. :) Maybe he's bugged in my game

I only ever pay him in 1000 gil lots and he has done Zanmato quite often, so im guessing that its random. Maybe im just lucky.

It's not random - the more Yojimbo likes your team, the more likely he is to do Zanmato without a lot of Gil.

Every time you summon him, pay him more than a Gil, and let him defeat the enemy, he likes you more. Every time you summon him, pay him nothing, and let him get defeated, he likes you less.

Zanmato is more likely to happen if (1) you pay him more and (2) he likes you a lot. The more he likes you, the less you have to pay him. Also, a full overdrive gauge makes Zanmato more likely.

Oh yeah, Zanmato is way easier to get in the PAL version, since us PALs get tougher opponents like the Dark Aeons and Penance.

I get Zanmato practically every time. Then again Yojimbo's one of my fave aeons...him and Shiva!
Just fight about 20 battles, paying him about 1000gil and working upwards by like 100G each battle, until you're paying him 3000gil. Let him defeat your enemies and you'll get Zanmato alot! I've never ever get Daigoro and Yojimbo attacks instantly the moment I summon him so he just rocks totally and I love his little intro music beat.
Anima sucks. I named him Enema cos he sucks so much.

It's not random - the more Yojimbo likes your team, the more likely he is to do Zanmato without a lot of Gil.

yes it is because i have gotten zanmato before paying one gil(i think it
is a secert cheat i guess :confused: )

Its all about motivation and there's 5 ways to rack up motivation points!!!
Factor 1 Amount of Gil
this ones quite simple
gil-motivation
4 - 2
8 - 4
16 - 6
32 - 8
see the patern each time you double the gil your motivation goes up by 2
say we gave him 100000 Motivation would be 30
Factor 2 Compatability
stat starts at 50pts max at 255pts
list below effects compatibility
PAY 0 gil -20pts
Yojimbo Dies -10pts
Dismiss without paying -3pts
Uses daigoro -1pt
Uses Kozuka No Change
Uses Wakizashi(single) +1pt
Uses Wakizashi(All) +3pts
Uses Zanmoto +4
The motivation is then worked out by
Compatibility pts/30 = motivation
eg c=255/30 = 8.5
Factor 3 Zanmoto Level
c=motivation from compatilbility g=gil paid t=total gil you have
c * (0.75 + [{p * 0.5} / t])
eg we'll use c=8.5(from result above) pay him 100000 from 500000 we have in total gil
8.5*(0.75+[{100000*0.5}/500000])
8.5*(0.75+(50000/500000)
8.5*(0.75+0.1)
8.5*0.85=7.225

this number then gets used thus, when you first attained Yojimbo and
answered wanted to hire him by saying "help with your training as a summoner"
or "help to destroy fiends"
then
for all bosses(zanmoto lv4) except All Monster Arena bosses,
Dark Aeons, and Penance *0.25(these are zanmoto lv5)
for lv5 *0.2
for Adamantoise Anima(Zanmoto Lv3) *0.33
for Barbatos, Behemoth, Behemoth King, Cactuar, Qactuar(Zanmoto Lv2)*0.5
for all others(Zanmoto Lv1) *1
However if you chose to destoy the powerful enemy's option then for Zanmoto lv1-lv3 *0.8
and for zanmoto lv4-lv5 *0.4
exp I choose poweful enemy's one and I'm fighting a Dark Aeon(Zanmoto Lv5)
using the number above(7.225) I times* 7.225 by 0.4 which = 2.89(this is part of the motivation lv)
Factor 4 Overdrive
This is simple if he's in overdrive you get 2 motivation pts
lets say he's in overdrive for this example
Factor 5 Randomality
(didn't you just know it)
it randomly selects a number from 0-63
for this example lets say 45
ok now lets see what kind of attack would have been performed
Motivation Lv - Attack
0 - 31 would give Daigoro
32 - 47 would give Kozuka
48 - 63 would give Wakizashi(single)
64 - 79 would give Wazikashi (All)
80 + would give ZANMOTO
so we got*drumroll*
Factor 1 =30
Factor 2 =8.5
Factor 3 =2.89
Factor 4 =2
Factor 5 =45
Total No.=88.39
Result Zanmoto Performed Woohoo!!!!!
