Okay so I've never been able to draw Anime at all, I always get everything wrong. So I've been trying to learn how to draw it. Today while on the train to Loony BoB's I sat drawing this pictures, from scratch, from a picture in my head. Considering I've never drawn an anime picture fully properly before, and also considering I had none of the tutorials that I've been using to do the eyes etc, I'm really chufffed with it. What do you think?

Unfortuanatley, I can't give it a fair score due to not being able to see it all. :(
You PMed it to me so I clicked it and hooray! But it came out a little too light, so I can't see it as well as I'd like. The eyes look very good, but there's a lot of whitespace in the head - isn't the mouth supposed to be ridiculously huge?

I've only been looking into the head/eyes etc and the mouth on the tutorial I used wasn't big ;o so I dunno, and bear in mind I was on a train at the time :P so not PERFECT quality completely, especially cause it was a bit rushed.

The head seems to be a bit big, but not enough to make a huge difference. Nice drawing of the dress though. Keep it up, you are doing great so far!

Making darker lines is part of finishing a drawing, but don't make them dark in the beginning! If you do that, it will be very difficult to erase later and the final version will look sloppy. Do you know how to do inking? It's not that difficult, you just have to be careful, and the end product looks much better in many cases. (Shading is different. That can be more difficult to pull off in ink, so I'd use the computer for shading an inked image.)

It may not help a huge amount, but I just decreased the brightness of the image. See attached for the result, it may be a bit easier to see.
As I said, Tiffany, I think it's pretty bloody good for a first attempt.

9/10 because it's better than what I can manage. By a lot.

Thank you :) I'm only learning cause I've never been able to do anime stuff before, but it's something I really do want to do. So I'll be practicing more/learning different styles/techniques etc until I find my own style that suits me :)

Now that I can actually see it, her outfit reminds me of Althena.

I could always see it.. but then again I also draw too lighly when I do draw.
Anyways looks similar to chibi style.. and It is quite nice if you view it that way.
[edit] if you can .. work on emotion... .. I don't get much from it. Could be just me though.

Nice! I like the outfit! =)
But it's a little light...?? Oh well, nice drawing anyways! Maybe you can work on the face a little more, and the hands, too, but nah! It's great that way! Awesome drawing!

I think it's really good for a first try - I actually like the drawing being so light in shading, but I think the wings need to be darker, so they're more defined.
Nice job Tiffs :)
