Heh, as much as I hate Zell, I would say he's my favourite monk, mainly because Seifer makes fun of him...

Okay, apparently for some reason, I was under the delusion that martial artist != monk, but whatever.

Amarant is just about the only character in ff9 whose abilities I *adore*

I like Tifa, and I don't like any of the others except possibly Yang and the FFT Monk. Amarants okay.

Chakra is traditionally a monk ability. Even if he does throw things.

Josef is cool too so he comes 2nd in my books. Because he is essential in beating the game and a very important part of thestoryline

Game-wise, the monk in Tactics. But Advent Children is Final Fantasy too, so I had to go for Tifa o/
