Chrono Cross endings (inevitable massive spoilers)

This afternoon I beat Chrono Cross for the first time. Now after saving onto a "New game +" I decided to check this site where I found I could get a better ending by using the Chrono cross on the time devourer. So I find out how to get the good ending and must now go all over again. :x_x: Now I have heard that Cross has multiple endings like trigger, but what I want to know is; like trigger, is there a way to shortcut to the final boss in Cross and by doing this can I get the good "schala" ending?

In a New Game +, the path leading to the final boss from Opassa Beach is present from the beginning; like Chrono Trigger, you see the extra endings by going into it at various points throughout the game.

Those are the extra endings, though. You can only get the good main ending by going through the entire game, getting the Chrono Cross, and successfully using it on the final boss.
