Any guitarists out there have a favorite scale they like to solo with?

Currently I've been messing around with the Aeolian (is that how you spell it?) and the harmonic minor. I've also been messing around with some diminished scales. These scales are really fun to play after soloing with just the pentatonic, blues and major scales for a whole year. Getting comfortable with these scales is really gonna help me when Im jamming with friends.

I've also found that alot of famous guitarists use these scales. Jimmy Page uses the Aeolian scale in almost all of his solos.

Definitely the harmonic minor, personally as a metalhead.

Aeolian is correct.
I only find myself using the box position scales, particularly Aeolian minor. (because I'm lazy)

Aeolian is minor, or natural minor to be more exact.

Harmonic and natural minor. I also use an Indian scale.

Same here. Aeolian rocks.
